Texas Data and VoIP Presents The 4th Annual Tiger Open Supported By Innova
Added cash $750
About this tournament
The Tiger Open returns for a 4th year at The Woods at Trinity! This is a 2 day, 2 round PDGA sanctioned B-Tier disc golf tournament. Players get a chance to compete on a course that tests all aspects of your game.
This event started as a fundraiser by the Blue Ridge High School Band Boosters and remains and integral part of their program each year. The Blue Ridge Band Boosters would like to thank all of you for your support. Blue Ridge is a rapidly growing 3A district just north east of Melissa TX. The money we are raising will help put instruments in the hands of every child who wishes to learn music. It will also go towards contest fees and will help bring in outside clinicians. We hope to continue to grow the Tiger Open as an annual fundraiser to continue our program’s growth!

Beat the Heat
This is mid-July in Texas, it will be HOT!! We are playing 2 rounds of 18 holes on a long course. We have structured the event schedule in hopes of having everyone off of the course by 2:30 at the latest. Thanks to the Blue Ridge Band we will have spotters on several holes and have strategically altered the 21 hole Trinity layout to help cards move through the course a bit quicker and limit time in the sunny areas of the course.
Players need to be prepared for a long, hot Texas round of golf. Hats, sunglasses, and umbrellas are great tools to avoid the sun. Carts can help minimize fatigue and manage very well on this course. Wear sunscreen if needed and stay in the shade where possible.
We will have shade and hydration stations at holes 2, 8, 13, and 18 (Gold). It is imperative that players BRING LOTS OF WATER! Players will get a hydration drink mix as part of their player pack and more will be available for purchase at tournament central.
Be sure to hydrate well on Friday and Saturday evenings. Hydration starts 48 hours before heat exposure. Preparation before the event will go a long way to keeping hydrated. Be safe and let's all have a good time!
Raffle
As mentioned above, the Blue Ridge High School Band Boosters will be organizing a raffle to help raise funds for their program. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the course Saturday and Sunday with cash or Venmo. Prizes will be drawn before players finish round 2 on Sunday so you can claim your winnings before you leave the event.
If you would like to donate prizes to the raffle then feel free to bring them to the event or reach out to our event staff.
Awards and Payouts
There will be a minimum of $750 added to the pro purse for this event. As we generate more sponsors we will add more to both pro and amateur payouts. Thank you to our sponsors for making this possible!
Payout will be awarded to the top 45% of each division using the PDGA payout scale. Pro divisions will be paid in cash or digitally after the event. Amateur players will win a merchandise credit to The on-site Disc Golf Dojo proshop.
There will be no payout for MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4, or Junior Divisions. The winner of those divisions will be awarded $50 in merchandise credit if there are 3 or more players in the division.
Payout will be available and published to Disc Golf Scene once all players have completed their rounds. Payout can be redeemed the day of the event or at any future Disc Golf Dojo event. Follow us on Disc Golf Scene and get notified where we are each weekend.
Am payout will expire 2 years after it is awarded. Credit awarded at this event is valid through July 14th, 2026.
Trophies will be awarded to the first place finisher in divisions with 3 or more registered players.
Flex Start Friday
