About this tournament

The Josie’s Journey Open was created in June of 2018 after our daughter, Josie Rynn Bevis, was born premature at only 23 weeks and at 1 pound 6 oz. The amount of support and love we received from different organizations, friends, and family was unbelievable and inspired us to run an event to help give back in a sense. The plan was to run a disc golf tournament once a year in the month of November (Preemie Awareness Month) that benefits a NICU/Preemie related organization. Thanks to our competitors and tournament sponsors we have raised over $14,000 for NICU/Preemie related organizations over the last 3 years! I'm proud to say this event as become a must-play in the area with last year's 72 spots being spoken for in 8 hours!

The 4th Annual Josie’s Journey Open will be benefitting Project Sweet Pea’s! Project Sweet Pea’s did so much for us during Josie’s 108 day stay at the Huntsville Hospital NICU. Josie was born on Father’s Day 2018 and later that day I had a Father’s Day gift waiting for me by her isolette in the NICU because of Project Sweet Peas. They do so much more than this, but little things like that go a long way when you have a child in the NICU. We are forever grateful for everything they have done for us and will continue to do for others in the same situation. Join us for a fun-filled weekend of golf and help us give back to a wonderful cause!

*ALL AM’S WILL RECEIVE A ONE DISC PLAYERS PACK. MANUFACTURER TBD.
