Welcome to The 3rd Annual Landon Shaffer Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Sponsored By Discraft!
This is a one round sanctioned C-Tier flex start @ Hilltop in Urbana! We will be playing a mix of short & long baskets. You get to pick your tee time so grab some friends and come help us raise money!
This tournament is a charity event to raise money for my son Landon Shaffer's Memorial Scholarship! There will be no payouts for this event. $3 goes to PDGA fees and all players will receive 2 discs for their entry fee. We plan on having some pretty cool CTP's!
Now let me tell you a little about my amazing son! Landon was born with Menkes Disease and was only expected to live to be 2 or 3 years old. Menkes Disease is very serious with little that can be done to slow the progress of the disease. Normally a child with Menkes Disease just gets weaker and weaker until they pass away at a very young age. Landon didn't let that outcome hinder his life. He loved his family, school, flirting with girls, and being the center of attention and he lived a great life full of love! Landon inspired many people as he fought his way through life never giving up. He passed away in June of 2022 at the age of 15, far outliving his original diagnosis. Landon's impact on living life to it's fullest has impacted people all across the country. After his passing we formed The Landon Shaffer Memorial Scholarship so his legacy would live on for years to come! Please help us in raising funds for his scholarship by joining us on September 7th!
