About this tournament
Circuit Challenges are back. 3 disc challenge this time and the disc lineup is far more friendly for newer players and players who don't have big power arms. I passed on some of the complaints from previous ones, not sure if they listened or we just got lucky.
Format:
3 disc challenge. You play 18 holes with the 3 discs in the pack. Sign up for the appropriate division you wish to play in. And yes, I know if you're sandbagging. =)
Have not set solid time yet, but looking at 10am start time to give players chance to show up. Being a smaller course, we will have plenty of time to play and goof off during and afterwards. Probably look to do doubles for our normal Thursday club format.
Will most likely have day of ace pool as well as some CTP's. Will update with a price when we get closer and we have a better idea of participants.
Course:
Ashland City - John C. Poole
This is a 9 hole beginner style course that can challenge advanced players with lower shot lines and shot shapes.
Discs:
Axiom Rhythm in Neutron Plastic
Speed 7 | Glide 5 | Turn -3 | Fade 1
Understable fairway driver
Fantastic hyzer flip potential for high power arms
Great first driver for beginners
Streamline Echo in Cosmic Neutron Plastic
Speed 5 | Glide 5 | Turn -1.5 | Fade 1
Straight flying midrange
Shapes lines and holds angles really well
Deep rim feels great for both forehand and backhand
MVP Atom in Electron Medium Plastic
Speed 3 | Glide 3 | Turn 0 | Fade 1
Super straight flying putter
Great for putting, approaches and driving
Electron plastic provides amazing, all-weather grip
Bonus Disc :
The bonus disc may not be used in your round.
Watermelon Paradox
Speed 5 | Glide 4 | Turn -4 | Fade 0
Flippy midrange. And I mean flippy. This is a collectors disc or a thrower. As with all circuit challenges, it's the time to get ahold of another one of the Watermelon series discs. If you are looking for one, be sure to check the box. There should be extras day of if you would like more.
Prizes:
All the extra funds from the Paradox and players packs will go towards prizes for the event.
I have not decided on first place prizes yet, being a bag or basket. Signups matter for prize level. They are not offering up trophies as they have in previous years, so I might have to make some trophies as well. Gotta have a trophy, right?
There will be disc giveaways as well as what other things I can source.
If you've never been to one of my events for these, I make sure that everyone can take home some prize be it from my personal collection or whatever I can grab from MVP when I order. They have changed the ordering process, so hopefully I can still order some hats and other goodies as well!
Do check back for updates, or send me a message for questions!
