About this tournament

The 37th Annual Frontier Open is a PDGA Sanctioned B-Tier event taking place in Hays, Kansas. The event is sponsored by Dynamic Discs, Roger & Verla Staab, Lomato's Pizza, and Gella's Diner & Lb. Brewing Co.

Only the first 90 registrants are guaranteed to get a full-sized player pack!


General Schedule:

The weekend starts Friday afternoon with OPTIONAL flex-start BYOP doubles from 12-5pm on the East course. Early Check-in will take place at Tournament Central in East Frontier Park from 5-7pm. A player's party complete with drinks and minigames will be held at a location to be announced, beginning at 7 pm.

On Saturday Sept. 11, all registrants will play 2 rounds of 18 on special "East & West" course layouts that are only in use for this event. Saturday evening, the annual Bison Chip ace race will be taking place. Participants will play our 10-hole miniature layout. A great opportunity to win some cash!

On Sunday, the field will be cut to 120 players and those who make the cut will play our 24-hole MONSTER layout for the final round. Divisions being cut will be announced Saturday prior to R2. Juniors and Rec do not play on Sunday.

Dynamic Discs, Hyzernaut Disc Golf, Maceman, SoMint Discs, and Discs Unlimited will be on hand all weekend for the vendor village.

The A and B pool listed are tentative - go ahead and sign up, you may make it in!

Refund policy

Flying Bison Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations requested before Sept. 4th at 9 pm. The same deadline applies to all division changes (within the same pool of players). All players on the waitlist who do not make it in will receive a full refund.
