About this tournament
- Call/text 301-338-4533 for fastest response. Email [email redacted], or use the Comments section on this event page.
Sponsors
- Thank you to The Padovini Family for sponsoring hole 12.
- Thank you to the Laurel Highlands High School Disc Golf Club for sponsoring hole 9.
Pre-registration required
- No event-day registration will be permitted/accepted.
- This a true-amateur, trophy-only event.
Entry fee
- $12 entry fee
- Pass-through fees = $7 ($3 PDGA, $4 TD fee)
- Net entry fee per player = $5
- The "TD fee" is labeled as that in compliance with PDGA rules. However, it goes directly to support current and future Allegany County Disc Golf Club programming
Hole sponsors
- $30 each
- Includes 1 tournament entry
- Call/text 301-338-4533 or email [email redacted] to finalize details prior to registration as a player.
Divisions
- If your preferred division is not listed, please call/text 301-338-4533 or email [email redacted] with a request to add that division prior to completing your registration for the event.
- The club will recognize division winners for every division for which there are two or more competitors.
- In accordance with CM 2.03, the TD reserves the right to move a player up a division if the most recent ratings update justify it (regardless of when a player registers for the event).
Player pack
- Water, Gatorade and maybe some small snacks will be at the start area and/or near tee pad 10.
- The PDGA will charge a $15 temporary fee to each non-PDGA member (Juniors/parents, call/text 301-338-4533 about this before signing up)
- Completing one round grants each player ACDGC membership for life. Members in good standing enjoy numerous club benefits, including discounts into the few higher dollar events, as well as discounts on discs the club has for sale.
Layout
- Two rounds of 18 holes (1-18)
Our desired atmosphere
- This is a low-key, low-cost event
- Have fun, play by PDGA rules, hit some trees with plastic discs
- As Dave Foss says in his summertime "Dave's Dirt Cheap" event at Burke Lake Park: Sign up. Don't. Whatever.
Scoring
- IAW PDGA rules, all players on a card must keep score (or a player's designated caddie)
- Most players will use the PDGA live scoring app.
- All players must have an active uDisc account (free/basic version is fine) and check in on uDisc prior to the start of each round.
- All uDisc user accounts must display a player's true/real name
- The ACDGC strongly encourages one player on each card to score with uDisc
- Paper scorecards will be provided upon request.
Schedule
- See tentative estimated timeline in the 'schedule" section.
- The pre-tournament email will be mailed on Thursday, March 12
- That email will include an updated timeline, as applicable, based on field size and other factors.
Awards
- TBD
Card requests
- Unless required by the PDGA (i.e., Juniors needing supervision), card requests will not be granted.
Bathroom
- One sanipot on site, located near tee 1.
- Roughly a 7-minute walk from basket 9 to sanipot
- Plan accordingly
Lunch
- On your own
- There are a few restaurants within 15 minutes of the park.
- Players are encouraged to pack lunches and consume in the park
Tiebreakers
- Tiebreakers only for first place in each division, as necessary
- Will be aggregate of holes 1, 2 and 3 on first loop, then (if needed)
- "Sudden death" on hole 1 only (repeating until there is a winner)
Why cap the field at 60?
- The ACDGC tries to be a friend to each course and community we play in.
- We do not want casual players to be frustrated if they arrive to play.
- So we always leave open some tees in order to accommodate casual players.
Refunds
The refund policy in the PDGA Competition Manual will be strictly enforced.
