About this tournament
2 rounds of play
It’s time for our second annual DFX Discs Flock Party - an unsanctioned day of chaos, friendship, giving, and hopefully more than a few birds, eagles, and aces.
Last year, the first of this event, we had 36 filthy honkers slanging discs, winning 14 CTPs, eating some delicious food, and building the best darn community of disc golfers on the east coast. What began as a one day party turned into a community chat and supportive group of friends supporting each other’s love of the game and great plastic. We love DFX discs for their art, we stay for the community.
This year, we’re back bigger, better, and more goosey. It’s Flock Party 2: Electric Goosaloo.
We’re bringing back the familiar format from last year with a couple of tweaks. We’re going to begin with a round of singles, shotgun start, on Dave’s new short course. It’s a fantastic ace run/putt and approach course. It plays fast and is more challenging than you might think! After that great warm up to start the day and get things rocking for geese of all skill levels, we’re going to have a delicious catered lunch on the back patio by Maureen and the kitchen superstars. We’re going to wrap up with a second round of doubles on blues. For this round, we’re going to pair doubles based on scores in the first round (top scoring player with lowest scoring player.) There will be prizes for winners and plenty of awards and CTPs along the way.
Last year our doubles winners won a golden goose each… who knows what will happen this year?
Cost Breakdown:
Lunch - $20
Weekend Greens Fees - $15
Supplies, CTP Markers, CTP Prizes - $5

A couple of notes of housekeeping:
We’re keeping it at one course this year to maximize fun and minimize driving time.
We had over a dozen donated CTPs last year ranging from $300+ discs, to custom dyes, and free round tokens. That was one of the highlights of the event. We hope you’ll consider joining in the CTP giving train and Random Acts of Gooseness (giving).
We’ve dropped the disc swap as it was a bit chaotic to hold during lunch. If you still want to swap plastic, please do after the event.
We’re giving this a later start to accommodate for geese who are flocking from afar for the day. Last year we had several geese from Maine and Western CT. We expect a few folks with big commute times and want to accommodate them.
We upped the ante to 72 geese this year! We would love if everyone in the current goose gang chat signs up (75 people). If we still have spots, please bring a friend! We want this to not just be our little hang session, but a way to grow the flock every year.
