About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The Moe Memorial II is a community-focused fundraising tournament held in memory of Tentis “Moe” Moore, a friend, father, and grandfather who passed away last year on Valentine’s Day.
This is the second annual Moe Memorial, created to bring people together for a fun, meaningful day of disc golf while raising funds to support the family Moe left behind — including his wife Deanna Moore, daughter Sheena Jacobs, and granddaughter.
Moe was newer to disc golf, but he jumped into the sport the same way he did everything else — with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for connecting with people. Outside of disc golf, many knew him as Detector Moe, a metal-detecting content creator with over 3 million followers across TikTok and YouTube. Whether you knew Moe personally or are just learning about him now, this event is about showing up as a community and supporting a family through our mutual love of disc golf.
This year, the Moe Memorial II tournament will be played on a temporary 18-hole course at Brunswick Community College, combining the existing 9-hole layout with 9 temporary holes winding through the college grounds. The event is unsanctioned, intentionally affordable, and designed to be welcoming to players of all skill levels.
To keep things light and fun, the event will feature a special format centered on Moe’s absolute favorite disc, the MVP Watt, which is included in every player pack. Players will be required to throw or putt with the Watt at least once per hole, encouraging creativity and keeping the round enjoyable for everyone.
There will be fun prizes for CTPs and Aces, too!
This event is sponsored by Moe’s friends and local community partners. It’s not about ratings or payouts — it’s about community, remembrance, and helping a family through continued support. Come on out and Throw for Moe!
