For 2023 the event will return to Houston, spanning 9 area courses while playing host to a 750 player potential. Houston Flying Disc Society, Houston Disc Golf, OneStar, Lucky Ace and Gorilla Disc Golf have taken on the monumental task of facilitating the BIGGEST Texas States player pool EVER !!!



We are absolutely honored to have the opportunity to carry the torch of Texas States. It is our goal to both honor the cherished traditions of the States event and push forward with the growth and progress of our beloved sport. As such, we will be offering divisions not previously offered at this event. Players from MPO/FPO all the way to MA3/FA3 and JR’s will get the red carpet treatment, as we promise to show the same attentions to detail to all players down the line.

This event has been made possible by the City of Houston and Houston Parks and Rec Dept. The Brock park facility is a product of their efforts as a revitalization of the area. Their vision, dedication and efforts towards realizing the goal on this project have been key. Thank you Houston and HPar !!!

Karbach Brewing Co. will host our players party and press conference at their AMAZING Houston facility. We will utilize their Biergarten area for both. Karbach will be offering samples of their brews at Brock all weekend to all (of legal age) in attendance.



The A-Tier side: will see $5000+ added cash to Pro and HUGE players packs for all ams. Those will be at MINIMAL deduction from entry fees, with est. $150 from each entry going to payout. This equates to HUGE payout numbers for all am and pro divisions. A -Tier players will span 8 courses, carefully selected as division appropriate.

C-Pool will play a mix of long and short tees at Texas Army Trail DGC on Friday. The specific layout will be posted and updated by early January to the UDisc link below, titled “2023 Texas States Layout”.
Players will then go to Brock Park for Saturday and Sunday, playing the “B-Roc Mod” course.
Order of play: MP40, MP50, MP60, FP40

B-Roc Mod / Texas Army Trail / Deussen Longs

D-POOL INFO:
D-Pool will be afforded the opportunity to play one of the feature courses on Friday, “B-Roc Mod”. Then play a mix of long and short pins at Texas Army Trail DGC on Saturday. You will finish the event at Deussen Park DGC, playing all “long tees” Sunday, keeping your pool very close to event HQ to finish. Specific layouts for TAT will be posted and updated by early January to the UDisc link below, titled “2023 Texas States Layout”.
Order of play: MA1 players will go out 1st all 3 days.

Northside Christian Church / Jones Creek / River Grove

E-POOL INFO:
Players will play 21 hole layouts at Northside Christian Church and Jones Creek Ranch Park. Players will play the traditional 18 hole layout at River Grove on Sunday. The main parking lot will be open at River Grove on Sunday ONLY. For practice, please park outside along the road and start on hole 12. Its a short walk and not much inconvenience.
All layouts will be set on UDisc and linked below by early January, all with the “2023 Texas States Layout” label.

F-POOL: MA3
2023 Texas States will be the first time EVER that MA3 has been offered. With the growth our sport has seen in recent years, the TX States committee saw an opportunity to provide the States experience to newer players. We are honored.
Players will play a mix of long and short tees at Deussen on Friday, and a States layout at Northside Christian Church on Saturday, both on tee times.
IMPORTANT NOTE* - All players will play 21 holes at Jones Creek Ranch Park on Sunday “ON SHOTGUN START” with an 8:30am tee time.
This will allow players to finish and make the drive back to Brock HQ to spectate the top cards of the DGPT event (if desired) or get payouts and make the trip back home.

You’ll play a 21 hole layout at Jones Creek on Friday. 18 holes (shorts) at Duessen on Saturday and 21 holes (shorts) on Sunday at TC Jester.
By early January, all layouts will be linked directly (below), Deussen and Jester with the “2023 Texas States Shorts Layout” moniker.
ORDER OF PLAY: FA1 will go out first, then continue in order (FA2, FA3), then age protected divisions.

Welcome JR’s !!!!
All JR’s division players will play 2 rounds (1 Sat and 1 Sunday) at Agnes Moffitt DGC.
BOTH ROUNDS will be SHOTGUN START at 9:30 am.
18u and 15u will play a mixed (long and short tee) layout. This layout will be made available on UDisc, linked here early January. It will be titled “2023 Texas States JRs MIXED Layout”.
12u and 10u will play all short tees.

GDG refund policy- $5 processing fee

Refunds should be requested through the confirmation email.
GDG will refund any player in full (minus registration fees) if requested by email more than 1 week before the start of event check-in.

GDG will refund any player in full (minus reg fees) up to 48 hrs before check-in ONLY IF we can fill the spot.
ALL drops within 48 hrs of the event- players will receive entry fee value in merchandise at vendors convenience. THIS WILL NOT INCLUDE EVENT PLAYERS PACKS.
No shows forfeit entry fees.
