A 2026 Georgia Super Series & Throw Pink Event
September 12–13, 2026 | PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier | 144 Players

Join us at beautiful Richard B. Russell State Park in Elberton, Georgia, for the 28th Annual Lake Russell Open — a premier disc golf experience and proud stop on the Georgia Super Series.

This two-day PDGA-sanctioned C-Tier will feature 144 competitors across two pools with three rounds of challenging play, incorporating both the OG Russell and Guidestones courses.

Event Format

Day 1 – Saturday (Shotgun Starts)

2 Rounds of 18 Holes (1 on each course)
Pool A: Round 1 at OG Russell, Round 2 at Guidestones
Pool B: Round 1 at Guidestones, Round 2 at OG Russell

Day 2 – Sunday (Tee Times)

1 Round of 27 Holes using a hybrid layout:
OG Russell + 9 select Guidestones holes
(Guidestone #5 tee to Guidestone #13 basket used for one layout hole)

Both pools play the same layout Sunday

Pool A: All Mixed Open divisions plus MA1 & MA40

Pool B: All amateur divisions (excluding MA1 & MA40)
~As pool assignments are only for even course distribution, pool assignments are subject to change to get the most people in with an even distribution. Pool assignments will not change prior to 8/31/26, if required.

Layouts for the 27th LRO (All tee pads are the same except for hole 8 on Guidestones, but pars are different)
~ Blue Tees (all holes play as Par 3's except Russell # 16) = MPO, MP40, MP50, MA1, & MA40
~ White Tees (original Pars) = FPO, all MA divisions other than MA1, MA40, MA3, & MA4
~ Red Tees (one alternate short pad on Guidestone #8, additional par on some longer holes) = All FA & Junior divisions plus MA3 & MA4
~ Junior tees if required.

Player Amenities & Competition

Pro Payouts: Top 40% Mixed Open paid; FP 100% payout. (cash)
Amateur Payouts: Voucher payout + player’s pack (voucher redeemable on-site w/Wes Campbell)
MA: Top 50%
FA: 100%

Trophies

Trophies awarded to 1st place in all divisions with a minimum of 4 competitors, as of 8/16/2026.

ACE & CTP Buy-In: $5 each
If no ace is hit, a CTP throw-off will occur (50%-25%-25%)

Tiebreakers: Sudden-death playoff on OG Russell holes 1, 2, 6, and 9, loop will continue until a winner is decided.
Tee order by random draw and in the case of a tied hole during sudden-death play, the teeing order for the next hole will rotate from the order used on the just completed hole.

All Mixed divisions require a minimum of 3 competitors to form a division. If there are not enough participants to form a division, you will have the option to change divisions or receive a full refund (minus sponsorship or donations)
No minimum requirement for Female divisions, and no non-PDGA fee for female competitors.
Any player who registers for a division they qualify for at registration, but no longer qualify for at event start, will advance to the next division you qualify for. If you do not wish to participate in the new division based on current qualifications, standard PDGA withdrawal rules will apply.
Waitlists will require a full entry fee while online registration is open. Withdrawals will be filled from the waitlist in order by pool, except when a FP or FA withdrawal with FP or FA on proper waitlist, then that withdrawal will be filled with an appropriate FP/FA player from the waitlist.

Online Registration
Disc Golf Scene is collecting payments on behalf of this event. All registrants pay a transaction fee of 3.49% + $1.84 per registration. Non-US registrants pay a transaction fee of 4.99% + $1.84 per registration.

Per PDGA Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request.
LAST DAY TO RECEIVE FULL REFUND WITHOUT WAITLIST REPLACEMENT WILL BE 8/13/2026.

By 8/13= 100% of entry fee minus $10 handling fee.
8/14 to 8/28= 100% of entry fee minus $10 handling fee.
• 50% if no one is on your pool's waitlist at time of withdrawal
8/29 to 9/10 = 100% of entry fee minus $10 handling fee.
• 25% if no one is on your pool's waitlist at time of withdrawal
9/11 or later = 100% of entry fee minus $10 handling fee.
• $0.00 if no one is on your pool's waitlist at time of withdrawal
ACE & CTP will be refunded 100% regardless of waitlist replacement.

Scoring & Connectivity

Tournament Central will feature Starlink Wi-Fi again this year. Full digital scoring using the PDGA's online scorecard system. Tee Times will be posted Saturday at least 12 hours prior to the first tee time on Sunday.
While live scoring during play may not be available, electronic score keeping and submission is available. Please confirm Wi-Fi is active with staff before submitting your card.
