The New York State Disc Golf Championships comes to Long Island for the first time ever in 2026.
Hosted by Long Island Disc Golf, competitors will face two of the region’s premier championship venues: Heckscher State Park and Southaven County Park. Over three rounds and two days, players will be challenged by a combination of open championship golf, coastal winds, technical wooded fairways, and demanding championship layouts.
The field will be limited to 144 players.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
3 rounds over 2 days
Saturday
• Round 1: Shotgun Start
• Round 2: Shotgun Start
• Half the field will begin at Heckscher State Park
• Half the field will begin at Southaven County Park
• Players will switch courses between rounds
• Division starting assignments will be announced closer to the event
Sunday
• Final round at Heckscher State Park
• Tee times for all divisions
• Tee times will be published Saturday evening
• Players should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned tee time
The two courses are approximately 25 minutes apart by car.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Heckscher State Park
A championship level layout featuring a mix of open fairways and wooded holes. Coastal winds are frequently a factor, placing a premium on controlled distance and shot placement.
Southaven County Park
A heavily wooded championship layout requiring precise shot shaping, tight landing zones, and strong course management throughout the round.

All players must check in and collect their player packs prior to the start of Round 1.
Players should check in at the course where they are assigned to begin play on Saturday morning.
Starting course assignments will be announced prior to the event.

AMATEUR PLAYER PACK
All amateur divisions will receive a premium player pack that is expected to include:
• Tournament stamped disc
• $10 voucher to BS Upshot store - good for premium disc or other merch item
• Embroidered quarter zip
• Enamel pin
• Additional event merchandise
• Saturday lunch

Lunch will be provided for all registered players on Saturday at Heckscher State Park between rounds.

PRACTICE INFORMATION
Both courses will remain open for practice leading up to the tournament.
There are currently no planned course closures.
Players are encouraged to monitor Long Island Disc Golf communications and tournament updates for any schedule changes or course announcements.

• Approximately $8 vehicle entrance fee
• Free with a valid New York State Empire Pass
Southaven County Park
• Free parking during the off season tournament weekend
Parking fees are subject to change based on park policy.

• Hampton Inn Long Island Brookhaven
• There is also lodging available at Heckscher State Park for those that are planning a longer stay (1 week minimum booking)

Divisions must have a minimum of four registered players by September 10, 2026.
Divisions with fewer than four competitors may be combined with the nearest appropriate age protected or skill based division at the Tournament Director’s discretion.

The full Long Island Disc Golf club ace pot will be in play for 2026 tag holders only.
