About this tournament
Since 1996, disc golfers have hosted Ice Bowl tournaments to raise funds and food for their communities, bringing together players of all skill levels who share a passion for the sport and a commitment to giving back.
This charity event will raise funds, and donate quality non-perishables to The Seed. Let’s continue to positively impact our local community through the sport of disc golf. So far in 5 years we have raised over $20,000 and 7000lbs of food for The Seed https://theseedguelph.ca/
Roughly half your entry fee will be going to our chosen charity, the other half will go towards your players packs, divisional trophies, and other prizing. Players packs for the first 100 players registered will be a custom disc, tournament pin and complimentary hot chocolate.
We will also have our fundraising raffle this year. As always tickets will be available online and on tournament day. Tickets will be 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Tons of prizes as usual.
Here is a list of high value items The Seed is looking for:
Vegetables: low sodium canned vegetables and vegetable juices, canned tomatoes, and pasta sauces
Fruits: canned fruit, sugar-free apple sauce, dried fruit, 100% fruit juices
Fish/Beans/Nuts: canned tuna and chicken, canned or dried beans, low sodium broth or bean soups, unsalted nuts, unsweetened peanut butter, canned or dried lentils
Dairy alternatives: shelf-stable unsweetened milk alternatives (rice, soy, almond, coconut, etc.)
Grains: brown or wild rice, whole grain pasta, cereals, trans-fat free tortillas, old-fashioned oats or low-sugar oatmeal, whole grain crackers and other snacks, granola bars, and other options
Spices/Cooking Oils: olive, canola, and vegetable oils, dried herbs and spices
