University of Canterbury Disc Golf Club is proud to announce our first annual UCDGC Open! We have partnered with Discmania, NZDSS, and Christchurch Disc Golf Club to host a PDGA sanctioned B-tier event at Warren Park.

Format and Divisions:
This is a one day, two round PDGA sanctioned B-tier event on a modified 21 hole course at Warren Park. All amateur divisions will be competing for a range of prizes thanks to our generous sponsors. Professional divisions will be competing for a strong purse as expected at a B-tier event.
Most divisions are available, but please reserve our FA4 and MA4 divisions to newer competitors. FA3/MA3 and FA2/MA2 are more suitable divisions for experienced players. These divisions will also play on a slightly different version of the course with some shorter tees or altered pars to make the event more enjoyable for everyone.
Amateur Players Pack:
All amateur entries will receive a custom stamped premium Discmania disc on the day of the event. This is an option between Swirl S-Line FD, Neo Origin, and Lux Vapor Link. These will be collected at check in on Sunday morning before the event and will be first in first served in terms of choosing which disc as we have 30 of each mold available.

All players have the option to purchase another commemorative disc in base plastic (P1x, Logic, Tactic). Professional divisions do not receive a players pack but can purchase a base plastic disc.
Course:
The standard Warren Park layout will mostly be in use, with a lot more OB added and clearly marked to B-tier standards. The course will also be extended across multiple football fields to accommodate a 21 hole course and add some distance. The course will be ready to play on Saturday, 20th September but please be aware that winter cricket is being played until 5pm. Some final adjustments such as basket installation on added holes may need to be done on Sunday morning for security reasons. All of the football fields have been booked and the planned course extension includes the football fields between the car park and the playground.
Venue:
Warren Park has public bathrooms on site near hole 18's basket and the car park. NZDSS and Disco Fever will be vending. We will set up an event HQ around the football club rooms. Drinking stations will be set up around the course and at HQ, but this is a BYO lunch event.

Refund policy
UC Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds and cancellations.
Players who officially request to withdraw from this event before September 1st will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus PayPal, discgolfscene fees and a $5 admin / refund handling fee).
Players who officially request to withdraw from this event between September 1st and September 20th will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus PayPal, discgolfscene fees and a $5 admin / refund handling fee) only if their spot is filled from a player from the waitlist. If the players spot is not filled, the player will receive a 50% monetary refund.
Players who request withdrawal within 24 hours of the start of play are not entitled to a refund.
