About this tournament

Palm Beach Disc Golf is proud to announce we will be hosting a Doubles 50/50 Fundraiser event for the Palm Beach Open in October. This event will be a 1 day 1 round hybrid layout of 27 holes utilizing both Commons Lakeside and Northside courses. This is a fun way to grab a partner and get some exposure to the courses before our Annual PBO. The format will be best shot.

50/50 Ace pot will be available at $5/ player. If no aces are hit, we will have an optional “second chance” challenge after the round where players can buy in one last time and attempt to ace, so stick around to cheer or razz friends. If no aces are hit after that, 100% of the earnings will go towards the PBO. If an ace is hit, the pot will be split with that person or person(s). Top 3 closest to the pin throws will receive a disc of choice.

Optional mulligans will be available to purchase as well. $10 for 5 mulligans per player NOT PER TEAM.

Sign up is $25/ player. First place for each division will get paid out with 5 divisions available. Snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the course during the event. PBDG will do our best to set up the courses as close to the PBO as we can. Rules and pad assignments will reflect the same assignments as you would have for the PBO.

Grab a partner and come out to have a good time. Please feel free to reach out to me or the club with any questions or concerns. We will bring some merch to have on-site from the club as well. The Hybrid layout consists of playing all 19 holes from Lakeside. From there, players will walk to hole 10 Northside and play holes 10-18 Northside.

TD has the right to move your team into another division based on skill level or number of players in divisions.

This event will utilize Udisc for tracking.

Refund policy

WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS:
TO OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW: Players MUST withdraw using Disc Golf Scene withdraw option OR email (or phone) their withdrawals to the Palm Beach Disc Golf Club at the contact information posted for the tournament. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.


Palm Beach Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.


PDGA 1.03 Withdrawals and Refunds:


A. Players MUST email or phone their withdrawals to the Tournament Director only at the contact information posted for the tournament. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.


B. Players who have paid MORE than a nominal waitlist fee of $10 to be on an event’s waitlist who do not get into the event, or who officially request to withdraw from the waitlist prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended), will receive a 100% monetary refund minus the $10 waitlist fee. Waitlist players who ONLY paid a nominal non-refundable waitlist fee of $10 or less are not guaranteed to receive a refund.


C. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus a (up to) $10 handling fee.


D. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered) by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 70% monetary refund of their entry fee OR just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee.


E. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered) by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% monetary refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY


F. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. This does NOT apply to a waitlist player; 1.03.B.


-Waitlist players that do not make it into active registration will receive a 100% monetary refund day of tournament.
-For withdraws requesting player’s packs be shipped, there will be an up to $15 shipping charge, depending on size of player’s pack.
-Hole Sponsorships are non-refundable.
