Hello Pintonians!
Welcome to the 2024 Pinto Lake Membership Drive!
We will be doing things a bit different this year in regards to distributing tags for the season. Historically, we've run into the issue of handing out top tags to the best performers at the membership drive, only to see a lot of those coveted tags never return to the course to be challenged during weekly tag rounds or monthlies, which defeats the purpose of possessing a top tag. So, to try and counteract that, this year, tags will be distributed later in the season at a future monthly, and those tags will be distributed based on current season points at the time of distribution, and not based on finishing order at this membership drive. This will hopefully reward those of you who come out each week, and will ensure that when those top tags are passed out, that they'll continue to be in play throughout the season. With that being said, the Membership Drive is still important! Not only are you playing for those season points that will get you a head start in the tag race, but we will be passing out a separate set of Top 10 tags to the top finishers of this round as a reward. These tags can then be challenged during weekly rounds, up until the official Golden Top 10 tags are passed out later.
Instead of a shotgun start in the morning, we will be having tee times throughout the day to ensure as many people as possible can have an opportunity to play for their starting bag tag. Purchasing a membership gets you a 2024 season bag tag, a Pinto Lake DGC sticker and magnet, and a towel.
Scoring will be done through UDisc. Please check in on the event page when you arrive, and one person from each group will need to volunteer to score and create the scorecard. If you are new to Pinto Lake monthlies, you will need to join the Pinto Lake M.Cs. League on UDisc in order to check in and get on a scorecard. Please feel free to reach out to either Noah or Nick if you have any questions or run into any issues.
There is an ever growing Ace pot, so be sure to sign up for that!
There are two options for receiving your tag. When registering, you can select the "Ship My Tag" option, which is an extra charge, but you will receive your tag at the address you give us once tags are distributed. If you can't make it to the monthly where all tags will be distributed, there will be a few TBD days where we will be hanging out at the course, so you can feel free to stop by and pick your tag up for no additional charge. And remember, you can always receive your tag by showing up at a monthly!
