9:10am - 9:20am
Players meeting, pick up score cards, group picture.
9:30am - 11:30am
Everyone plays one round of disc golf at their chosen starting hole. Keep scores on score card and total the scores before turning it back in for verification. Use UDisc if you have access.
11:45am - 12:00pm
Presentation of trophy discs to the winners of their respective divisions.
Award prizes to CTP winners.

About this tournament

Following in the footsteps of the Trilogy Challenge, Veterans for Vets is a new event designed to meet three goals. First, it gives disc golfers a chance to play in an organized event during the winter months. Second, it provides an awesome environment for a disc golfer without any tournament experience to play in an organized event. Finally, it provides an opportunity for a local disc golf community to raise money that gets returned to that same community to organizations tasked with serving veterans!
The cost is $30. All the profit from the player packs will be donated to the Alpha Omega Veterans Services of Memphis. This should be $5-$7 per player pack.
The format is one round of disc golf at Shelby Farms using any discs approved by the PDGA. Players will select STARTING HOLES when they register. Players do not have to use the Veterans for Vets player pack discs. This is a trophy-only event. There will be a trophy disc for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for the Veterans. There will be a new disc for the winner in the other divisions.
Additional prizes will be awarded for those who sign up for CTPs (Closest To Pin). For every 4 people that sign up ($5), there will be a hole with a $20 NEW disc of your choice for a prize. So, if 40 people sign up, there will be 10 CTP holes. The first 5 holes will be 3, 6, 8, 10, and 17.
Each player will receive a 2-disc player pack consisting of a putter and midrange/driver. Disc choices will be made on a first-come basis when they become available.
I will receive an evenly distributed selection of the following discs. This year, there will be a beginner-friendly player pack option! If you would like to receive these beginner-friendly discs(), I ask you to select the option when registering for the event. I have to order all the player packs 2 weeks prior to the event, so register by MARCH 1st to guarantee your player pack.
