Happy to say the Spring Melt is well under way, and it’s finally safe to say the chances we wouldn’t be able to run the tournament are gone.

To be safe we will be playing both rounds using the regular 18 hole layouts and both rounds will play from the standard concrete tee pads.

This will be a Sanctioned PDGA “C” tier event with $500 added cash to open Sponsored by Hub City Ax Throwing. Am players packs will include a tournament t-shirt and a putter supplied from Premier Discs manufactured right here in Aberdeen.

Registration is online only and will be available until 8am the morning of the tournament.

Divisions will require a min of 3 players, players in divisions with less then 3 registered players will be contacted a couple days prior to get clarification of which divisions they would want to be moved to if at registration end the 3 player min is not met. Players in age based will drop to a lower age group or higher for juniors automatically until a division meets the min # of players. A division can be played not hitting the min for Pro divisions and Juniors only. Example FPO has one Masters and one FPO, they will automatically combine to the youngest division and both play as FPO. Juniors will be moved up in age groups until the min # is met. Unfortunately we can not guarantee any division will fill enough in advance to be played. So encouraging your fellow disc golfer to join is highly recommended.

Richmond Lake Disc Golf Course is on a South Dakota State Park and vehicles will require a SD State Park 2023 sticker or day pass. Day pass can be paid at entrance with cash, the Electronic Self Checkout box is down waiting on an update. Annual passes can be purchased at Ken’s gas station, the Campground entrance, or easily online.

Aberdeen Area Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. Players can drop without penalty for a full refund of their entry fee and ace pot until 11:59pm April 22nd. The difference for division changes after that time will be paid out at sign in. Late cancellations and no-shows entry fees / ace pots will be considered a donation to the Aberdeen Area Disc Golf Association, and funds will be used at the club’s discretion.
