South Tahoe Disc Golf Association will be hosting the 2023 Nevada State Championships at Zephyr Cove Disc Golf Course in Zephyr Cove, Nevada on September 23rd and 24th, 2023. This is a "B" tier PDGA sanctioned event, you must be a current PDGA member to enter this tournament. This event is the sixth and final event of the 2023 Sierra Tahoe Series (STS). The Nevada State Champions and the STS Champions will be crowned at this event.

At the Nevada State Championships, you will be challenged by three rounds of 18 holes of disc golf at the #1 rated disc golf course in the state of Nevada, Zephyr Cove Disc Golf Course. It is one of the first ever alpine style disc golf courses in the country. Zephyr Cove DGC is known for its iconic, breathtaking views and its challenging terrain.
There will be two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday. Shotgun start at 9:00am for both days. Amateur players will receive a player's package with their registration fee. Player's packages are being withheld from the Professional registration fee, in lieu of higher payouts. Professional players will have the option of purchasing a Tournament Stamped Disc for $15, a Tournament Tee-shirt for $15 or a player's package for $25 during registration, if they would like a souvenir from the tournament. The player's package will consist of at least one Tournament Stamped Disc, a Tournament Tee-shirt and a Mini. There will be a Closest to the Pin (CTP) competition. We will qualify players after the first round on Saturday and after the second round on Sunday. The ten closest players will qualify for the finals in the CTP contest. There will also be a huge raffle during the awards ceremonies on Sunday.

Early registration for the 2023 Nevada State Championships opens Monday, July 24th at 8:00pm. This registration period is for tournament tee sponsors and is granted on a first come first served basis. Tournament tee sponsors are granted the privilege of registering for the tournament early. It is $85 to register for the tournament and an additional $50 for the tournament tee sponsorship. There are only 18 of these spots available and they are spread evenly amongst the 14 divisions offered. Most divisions have only one early registration spot available, some have two spots. If not all the early registration spots have been filled by Friday July 28th, the remaining spots will be offered on a first come first served basis to any division, on Saturday July 29th at 8:00pm. Normal registration for this tournament opens on Monday July 31st at 8:00pm. The field is capped at 90 players. A minimum of three players is required to complete a division. If your division does not have at least 3 competitors, you may be asked to move to a different division.

South Tahoe Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Any cancellations after 8/14/2023 at 8pm will receive a $60 refund. There will be NO refunds for cancellations after 9/15/2023 at 8pm. Tournament sponsors that were granted an early registration will only be refunded their registration fee, based on what time they canceled, the sponsorship fee will not be refunded.
