2023 Big Sioux Icebowl
About this tournament
The 2023 Big Sioux Icebowl is a charity disc golf tournament benefiting the Brandon Food Pantry. The Big Sioux Disc Golf Club will run a fun 18 hole disc golf tournament at the Big Sioux Recreation Area on Saturday, Feb 18th, while several other organizations will be running events in thier cities. Last year the Ice Bowl event as a whole raised over $500,000 and a million pounds of food for charities around the world.
The cost of the event will be $30, which will include a $10 donation to the Brandon Food Pantry, a commerative Ice Bowl disc for the first 50 players registered, and chili. Each year several people bring chili, fixings, or other food items to share (sort of a mini chili cook-off). Pre-registration will be available on Disc Golf Scene. We will play 18 holes to the short pin positions starting at 10 am (check in and registration from 9:00 to 9:30 am). A fun part of play is that you may buy unlimited mulligans for $1 each. Last year we raised more money through the mulligans than the $10 donations! There will be Open, Advanced, Intermediate, Recreational, and Novice divisions. There is a daily entry fee of $8 per vechicle to get into SD parks and recreation areas, so either get your annual $35 pass in advance or car pool.
