About this tournament

UPDATE 28 SEP 2022: We are tracking the weather for the weekend. Current forecast shows rain but nothing else worrisome. We will play in the rain. Bring a good coat, lots of towels, dry clothes for afterwards and a good positive attitude.
The 2022 Stafford Open is a charity event to raise funding for the Area 11 Special Olympics. It is an opportunity to join in the effort to provide support to the Olympians while introducing new players to the sport of disc golf.
Entry fee proceeds will cover player packs, pro payouts, and the remaining funds will be donated to benefit the Area 11 Special Olympics. All amature players will receive a player’s pack.
Optional 50/50 Ace Pot will be a $5 minimum donation per player and payout will be 50% of total pot if anyone hits an Ace. If no one hits an ace, the entire pot will be donated to the Area 11 Special Olympics. Additional donations are encouraged.
1st-3rd Place Trophies will be awarded in each AM Division. The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine divisions if there are not enough players in the division to make up a card.
The layout will be from the White Tees for both rounds.
Pros will have the option to purchase an event T-shirt.
Amature player packs will consist of:
Performance or Regular T-Shirt
Disc Golf Retriever
Dry Sacks
Grip Wax
Special Olympic Pack-TBD
Each Player and Non-Player will have the option to donate to the Special Olympics on Disc Golf Scene when registering for the event. Each Pro and Am will have the opportunity to upgrade their t-shirt to a performance t-shirt during registration.
We plan to have a BBQ Food Truck available for the event as well as Travelling Tavern who will be providing beer from 6 Bears and a Goat!! It will be pay as you go, no tickets or registration requirements. We will be supported by Stafford County Tourism so please check out their booth to find information regarding other local events! www.tourstaffordva.com

Refund policy
Stafford DGC is responsible for all refunds and cancellations. No refunds will be issued 72 hours prior to the event.
