About this tournament
1 round of play
The inaugural Disc Golf NL Provincial Championships will be held at the Corner Brook Disc Golf Course on October 29-30, 2022 (originally scheduled for September 24-25).
There are many divisions, including those for different skill levels and age- and gender-protected divisions. Pro players compete for cash, while amateurs compete for prizes and will receive a player pack that includes two discs (one for juniors). Pro purses and amateur prizes and player packs will be finalized after registration closes, but we do not plan on having added cash at this time. We may need to collapse divisions if there are not enough registrants in each division. If you are new to the sport, we suggest registering in any of the amateur divisions below MA1/FA1.
Most divisions will compete for three rounds of 18 holes: one Saturday morning, one Saturday afternoon (at least 1 hour after the first round), and one Sunday morning. Saturday morning tee times will be emailed by at least October 28th. Juniors will compete for two rounds, one on Saturday morning and the other on Sunday morning. Groupings and tee times for rounds 2 and 3 will depend on player results in earlier rounds. We have some fun things in the works for the evening of Friday October 28th, so plan to get to Corner Brook early, if you can.
Players must be registered members of Disc Golf NL to compete in the Provincial Championships. You can purchase a membership here (https://www.discgolfnl.com/membership).
Players must also either be a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) or pay a one-off $10 registration fee for this tournament. You can purchase a PDGA membership here (https://www.pdga.com/membership); the $10 fee is collected as part of the tournament registration process. Juniors do not need to pay the $10 registration fee. PDGA sanctioning provides insurance for the event, in addition to tournament management infrastructure.
Disc Golf NL would like to thank the City of Corner Brook for sponsoring and Corner Brook Disc Golf for helping to host this event.
