This is the event page for the Indy Disc Golf Club's 34th annual Ice Bowl. The Brookside Ice Bowl is the final event in the IDGC’s charity series, following the Wild Turkey Shootout at Washington and Worst Shot Doubles at Mohawk. We have raised $1,500 so far from these events for charitable causes. $10 from every Ice Bowl entry fee will go to St. Vincent de Paul on 30th Street. If you take the time to look, you can see the food bank from Hole #6’s tee pad at Washington!

DID YOU KNOW
This is the second longest continuously run Ice Bowl event in the country behind the founding cities of Columbia & Kansas City, MO. The original Ice Bowl motto was "No Wimps, No Excuses". When the IDGC held the first few Indy Ice Bowl events starting in 1989, they heard some excuses from the folks who didn't show up and a LOT of whining from some of the folks who did. So they revised it: "No Wimps, No Whiners". Rick Rothstein, founder of the Ice Bowl events, liked it so much that he changed the official Ice Bowl slogan to match what they were saying in Indy.
In 1995, the IDGC began using the event to collect food and raise money for the Dayspring CTR. Again, Rick Rothstein liked what the Indy Club was doing so much that, in 1996, fundraising for local food banks was made an important component of the Ice Bowl. Since then, millions of dollars have been raised for food banks nationwide thanks to the Ice Bowl mission.
We hope to see you out there. But remember: No Wimps, No Whiners!
