About this tournament

Welcome to the 2021 YMCA of Centre County Disc Golf Event! This will be a one-round doubles tournament, organized by CCDGA club members and the YMCA.

The cost is $35/player ($70/team), which includes free lunch and raffle opportunities! Proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Open Doors Financial Assistance, Youth, and Anti-Hunger Programs and Tri-Municipal Park’s maintenance needs. In addition to raffles, there will be a few closest-to-the-pin (CTP) holes with prizes to win!

The format of this event will be best-shot doubles. Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed. This means that both players do NOT need to make the same putt on each hole.

Divisions will be Pro/Advanced, Recreational/Intermediate, Beginner/Novice, and Coed/Women. All divisions will play their round in the morning. If you are unsure which division you and your partner should play in, please ask and we will point you in the right direction.

If you are unable to join us, please feel free to sign up for the "Donation" division to make your own donation to the YMCA. Furthermore, please contact the TDs if you (or any individual or business you know) are interested in giving $100 to be a hole sponsor.

Although this will be a casual tournament, there will be some out of bounds (OB) areas. Thick tree lines and tall rough are marked by orange wooden stakes, while parking areas will be marked by orange lines and pink flags. On hole 18, the cornfield on the right will be OB, although it won't be marked. If your team's best shot goes OB, mark your lie 1 meter away from the OB line where the disc went out of bounds and proceed with a one-stroke penalty. We want this to be a fun event with no lost discs or dented vehicles!

This is being planned as a very laid-back, tailgate-style event. You are welcome to invite your friends and family to come listen to music, watch some of the action, and hang out!

Thanks for helping support two local causes, and we hope to see you at the next CCDGA event!
