I would like to withdraw from the tournament and I don't know how. Please either take me off the list or tell me how I can do it. Thanks and have a great time.

How often is the list updated? I see two players have withdrawn from MA 3 but I'm still at #42 on the waiting list. Should have jumped up 2 spots no?
me and my friend were 72 and 73, so that wouldnt effect you at all
Yes, you will only move up on the waitlist if the people ahead of you are withdrawn. If players behind you are withdrawn, you will not advanced but stay in the same spot. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Parker Murphy - MA3
Christopher Hall - MA3
We both would like to withdraw from the waitlist.
Hi Christopher! You and Parker have been withdrawn from the MA3 division waitlist and refunded the registration fee. We hope that you are both still able to join us for the week of the 2017 GBO event! Soon, we will have more information posted about our Spectator Badge and Volunteer programs.
We will still be there. Just going to train hard, and play in the open. My friend park is going to caddy for me.
Zachary Hardham November 29, 2016 at 12:13am
Can you please refund my waitlist money? Don't need to be on the wailing anymore.
Hi Zachary! You have been withdrawn from the MA1 division waitlist and refunded your registration fee. We hope you are still able to join us for the week of the 2017 GBO event! We will soon have information posted about our Spectator Badge program, as well as, our Volunteer program.

124 played last year in advanced master. Last year I signed up in January and made it in from waitlist 19 I think. Now waitlist 37 in November with only 100 spots. Why not add a provisional course in the area to add more players rather than downsize?
my only argument here is that this sport is really growing! This sport is growing big and with continued exposure through social media, this will only get bigger. It would be great for as many people to go as possible. Now I am biased but I do hope that they understand how big this sport is really growing.
Thank you Alex. I had a great experience last year with no hassle, even in pouring rain and a 6 hour round. It seems at least something went well last year as shown by the waitlist this year. I hope I make it in this time, but it doesn't look good.
I too was there with you last year Caleb. We probably stood together under the covered picnic area by the #1 teepad with Mike Solt at Jones West waiting for the rain and lightning to clear. Yes, it was an experience of a lifetime for me, particularly coming from Snohomish WA (North of Seattle was ... more

It's probably pointless to get on the waiting list now right? I keep missing these regs and they fill way too quick. Will more spots open up? What are the chances of getting a spot in either rec or int? Would be traveling from Michigan so if theres little chance of getting a spot then theres no point in trying. Been trying to play this tourney these last couple years and always miss out...one of these years...
I have already expressed my opinion on other posts but when an event fills up within the first 5 mins of opening, I feel there has to be something that can be done to make up for the spots that are on waitlist. This sport is growing astronomically and I know it will only get bigger within the next f ... more

if im already registered in a division can I withdraw and sign up for another. or transfer for sign up fee and add to it
You can send an email and ask to be moved just keep in mind all divisions are full so if you're IN a division now you'll be put on a waiting list in another division
I had to do that last year and got in. But yeah you are added to the bottom of the waiting list so no guarantee you will have a spot if you switch.
Hi Jeremy! If you wish to register for another division, go ahead and do so. Then for whichever division you wish to withdraw from, we will refund you. Please email us at [email redacted] with the division you would like to withdraw from after you register for the new division. Let me know if you have any other questions!

have never been to a tournament this big, can anyone tell me more about it and what is expected to be given out as a players pack? and for the first how many players will get the players pack or is it for everyone?
Amateur memberships are $50/year. http://www.pdga.com/membership

How is it that participants rated above a given division were allowed to sign up for that division anyway?
Prior to the event, the tournament staff will make sure that each person in each division falls within the PDGA ratings guideline for that division. Last year we did have to move a handful of players because their ratings were not within the guidelines set by PDGA for the initial division they registered for.
Will the provisions to move people to the correct division have any effect on the wait lists?
These moves have not impacted the wait list in the past. We make these moves after the last ratings update prior to the event (around March 2017). These moves have never bumped someone out of the event, nor will they.

what two spot available?
Scott Elam November 11, 2016 at 1:33pm
I just got a Lat64 shirt from Sweden and ordered one size larger which is right for us fat USA folks. I know the nice GBO shirt last year ran a tad smallish. Should we account for that this time and order one size larger or will this year's shirt be USA sized?
Hi Scott! You will not need to worry about accounting for a Swedish sized shirt. Putting the shirt size you normally wear will be all that we need!
Alan Fox November 9, 2016 at 12:29am
I registered and was in a hurry and put Alan Foc instead of Alan Foc under Intermediate can you guys change that for me?
Andrew H November 8, 2016 at 5:34pm
Based on the sheer numbers of people registered, do you anticipate adding more spots, or is this the max number of spots for Amateur?
Some have suggested we add an additional pool or two to create space for the high demand. This year that will not be possible. Planning an event like the GBO takes a great deal of time and preparation. Dramatically changing the event at this point is not an option. We certainly would consider th ... more

If I don't make it from the waitlist; are you going to refund the whole amount?
You'll get back everything but the DiscGolfScene processing fee (like $1.34 or something)
Hi Ginger! If you are still on the waitlist at the time of the event starting, you will receive a full refund of the entry fee from the waiting list division. If you a spot comes open and you move off of the waitlist, you will be notified.
Cory Cipra November 3, 2016 at 4:13pm
Hello will you be having a Junior's event in 2017?

Scott Elam November 2, 2016 at 9:13pm
I'm registered, but for future reference, how does one get on the Invitations list? I see 9 folks on there this year and I know two of them. Did this worth guys and girls win raffle or qualify in some way?
They bought the Spectator Pack at the 2016 GBO and having early access to register for the 2017 GBO was one of the perks.
Jaron Mallo November 2, 2016 at 1:07pm
Is there going to be a distance competition?
Hi Jaron! At this time we do not have any plans to have a distance competition. However, we will provide a detailed events schedule for the week of the 2017 GBO tournament no later than December 1st.
Ray Gruber November 2, 2016 at 2:28am
Should we try to get on waiting list m have 2 guys. Don't want only one ti go
Hi Ray! Yes, being on the waitlist never hurts. If the spot opens up, great! If it does not, you will be refunded.
Dr Coach Green November 2, 2016 at 1:52am
What is going on activities-wise on April 24-26? I need to decide when to arrange flight before they are gone.
Hi Mike! We are currently working on finalizing the events calendar for the week of GBO. Once we have done this, we will post it on the glassblownopen.com website.
Sal Robles November 2, 2016 at 12:45am
If I signed up for Intermidiate what are the chances I get in... sorry first year doing this probably too late and a dumb question please best advice
Hi Sal! There are no dumb questions. We are happy to help! If you are on the wait-list you will have more of a chance of having a spot open up to you than those who did not sign up to wait! As well, history has shown that close to 20% of the folks that register will cancel their registration prior t ... more
Not holding you to that of course but but that logic Intermediate has 140 spots. If 20% drop out that 28 spots. If only half the people on the wait list accept then that should move through about spot 56 on the list. I was at 68 so maybe? Fingers crossed.
Hi Jana! You have been withdrawn from the FA2 waitlist and refunded the registration fee for the division. Let me know if you have any questions.
