Dark Hollow Discs proudly presents "The Chining" New England Polecat Challenge driven by Innova!
This truly unique tournament will be held on Saturday August 13th at New England Disc Golf Center in Southwick, MA.
This will be a 2-round event. Round 1 will be played from the red tees on Calico Creek. Round 2 will be played from the green tees, also on Calico Creek. If a playoff is necessary, it will be played on the newly renovated "Putter Course"
PROs WILL BE PLAYING BOTH ROUNDS FROM REDS
The rules are actually quite simple:
1) You are welcome to use any discs you'd like, as log as the disc you chose is an Innova polecat. All players will receive an Innova polecat in their players pack, however you are encouraged to bring your own polecats if you can.
2) This is a PDGA sanctioned event, all participants will be required to play by PDGA rules.
3) Have fun!
I want to be completely transparent with you as to where the money you spent on this event is going and what you can expect out of the event other than a wicked good time, sorry I’m from Boston, that’s how we talk. Everyone who has chosen to participate in this one of a kind tournament has paid a $45 registration fee. Where does that go you ask? Well the first $10 goes directly to the New England Disc Golf Center. NEDGC is an amazing, privately owed, pay to play, disc golf destination that has graciously closed the Calico Creek course to the public so we can have our day. On top of that $2 per player (plus any non PDGA fees) goes directly to the PDGA. That leaves us with $33 each. Where does that go?
For the pro players, it is very simple, exactly what they are used to and in line with all PDGA standards. 100% cash payout to the top 40% of the field. In this case, 4 of the 10 pro player will receive their share of $330 along with a trophy and prize for first place provided by Dark Hollow Discs. Actual dollar amounts will vary depending on how each player finishes his/her round.
Pro players will not receive a player pack, but if they wish to purchase one, they will be onsite and available for them.
For the amateur players, this is what the PDGA calls “A True Amateur Event” and will also be completely in line with all PDGA guidelines. All amateur players will receive an epic player pack with a retail value of over $50. On top of the overly generous player packs, each amateur division winner will also receive a trophy and a prize, provided by Dark Hollow Discs. There will also be 9 AMATEUR ONLY CTP prizes that will hold for both rounds and be available to all amateur divisions to win. CTP prizes include, but are not limited to, an Innova excursion backpack bag, special tour series Innova discs, collector discs, rare polecats, etc.
As if that isn't enough, we will also be raffling off 2 Zuca compact carts and an Innova Discatcher EZ basket. Each player pack will contain 1 raffle ticket so everyone has a chance and more raffle tickets will be available for purchase. We will also be staking down an Innova banner on the 18th fairway. If your drive lands on the banner, you will receive a prize, maximum prizes issued for this is ten, all divisions including pro are eligible.
Optional $2 ace pot available upon signup. Any aces during a potential playoff round will not be eligible as both official round will be scored at that point. If no aces are hit during rounds a practice basket will be set up at 100'-150' or so for a one shot CTP winner take all.

Refund policy
Dark Hollow Discs is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
Any cancellation prior to the close of registration on Aug 6, 2022 at 8 pm eastern will receive a full refund.
Any cancellations after the close of registration on Aug 6, 2022 to Aug 10, 2022 at 8 pm eastern will receive their registration MINUS a 50% service fee.
Any cancellations after Aug 10, 2022 at 8 pm eastern will NOT be refundable.
Hole sponsorships are NOT refundable as they money will go to create a sign long before the start of the tournament.
