The Motor City Chain Gang is proud to present the 1st Annual Michigan Senior Olympics Disc Golf Tournament.
About MSO: Michigan Senior Olympics Michigan Senior Olympics (MSO) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that was founded in 1979 and a leading advocate in the senior health and fitness area for the past thirty-five years. Michigan Senior Olympics promotes healthy lifestyles by organizing state games, sports competitions and health, fitness, and wellness programs for active individuals 50 years plus.
Cost: Anyone who participates in the Michigan Senior Olympics must purchase a $25 yearly membership fee. This fee helps keep our program up and running. Included in the fee all participants will receive a membership pin, membership card, and newsletter. Insurance is also included for all athletes. The registration fee for Disc Golf tournament would be $15. This would include 2 rounds of 18 holes, t-shirt, goodie bag, and bottled water. The total cost to participate in this event will be $40.
We are working on other prizes to add to the players packs and how the divisions would be split up. Typically, the PDGA offers Age protected divisions every decade above 40 years old. All events sponsored by the MSO use a 5 year division. i.e. 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+. The participants in MSO events ages depends on their age at the end of the calendar year. You can enter any division you qualify for however, you can play in a younger division, you cannot play in an older division. We will let everyone know the divisions as soon as we work this and other details out.
