This is an unsanctioned flex start doubles best shot event that is also a USDGC Doubles Qualifier event.
The USDGC Doubles Main Event is an amateur disc golfer's only opportunity to compete at the famed Winthrop Arena Course in Rock Hill, SC decked out in all its USDGC Pageantry. If you want to test your mettle on one of the most challenging courses in the world, this is your chance. So get qualified and let's see how you and your partner fare in the arena.
The entry fee is $20/person or $40/team and each player will get a USDGC player pack disc.
PRE REGISTRATION FOR PLAYERS PACK DISCS ENDS MARCH 8th at 6pm (we're extending a couple of days). All players that register afterwards will have disc mailed to them at a later date if they are still available.
USDGC Doubles Qualifier Series Expands for 2026 Season
The USDGC Doubles team is thrilled to announce exciting updates for the 2026 USDGC Doubles Qualifier Series, aimed at growing participation and expanding opportunities for amateur disc golfers across the country.
2026 Season Updates
Beginning with the 2026 season, the USDGC Doubles Qualifier Series and Main Event will now include the following PDGA Divisions:
MA1 (Mixed Amateur 1)
FA1 (Women’s Amateur 1)
MA2 (Mixed Amateur 2)
FA2 (Women’s Amateur 2)
MA40 (Mixed Amateur 40+)
FA40 (Women’s Amateur 40+)
These additions mark a major step forward in making the USDGC Doubles experience more inclusive and representative of the growing amateur disc golf community.
In addition to new divisions, the USDGC Doubles team is also adjusting the thresholds required to award multiple qualifying spots at each qualifier event—making it easier than ever for players to earn their way to Rock Hill, South Carolina, for the prestigious USDGC Doubles Main Event held the first weekend of October.
2026 Qualification Breakdown
MA1 & MA2 Divisions
1–5 teams → 1 team qualifies
6-10 teams → 2 teams qualify
11+ teams → 3 teams qualify
FA1, MA40 & FA40 Divisions
1–3 teams → 1 team qualifies
4-7 teams → 2 teams qualify
8+ teams → 3 teams qualify
Player Eligibility:
All players must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:
The Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating AND has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.
The player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash.
If a player competes in a Pro division AND accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.
A mixed group of pro and am-class players is not allowed.
Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions, no exceptions.
Players may only qualify once for the USDGC Doubles Main Event
We're including an Ace Fund in the options for Pre-Registration because Lake Township has so many opportunities for aces. Because this is a flex start event, if an ace is NOT hit during the round, the funds will be donated towards the expenses for the Mishawaka Meltdown (signage, port-a-potty's, paint, string etc.)
