Good morning,
I am posting to regretfully inform you that we will need to move our event's location. I did not do my due diligence to check current course conditions and the bottom half of the course was found to be unplayable this week. The San Antonio River Authority worked with us to try and get a last minute mow on the schedule, but it wasn't possible. I am very sorry for this miss on my part - I know the Graytown course is special and a huge part of the fun.
As I know many of you have busy schedules and have planned your Saturday around this event, I decided to relocate the tournament rather than postpone it to next weekend. The tournament will now take place at Nani Falcone Disc Golf Park located at 8701 Mystic Park San Antonio, TX 78254.
We will be playing the Red Tees Short Layout, found on UDisc and just a touch longer than the Short Tees layout at Graytown. We will only be playing holes 1-18.
I have to make some adjustments to the Disc Golf Scene page as well as PDGA event so the information for this change will be updating throughout the day. I will also be posting this information on Facebook and DGS. I encourage you to share this information with any friends you have signed up and will likely send out text messages this evening just as a final good measure. The Caddy Book will also be updated and shared out as soon as possible!
For players who do not wish to play due to this change, we are offering a full refund (minus DGS fees). Please let me know by 9pm tonight if you would like to withdraw due to this change.
I just want to reiterate my apologies to you all again. The San Antonio River Authority is such a great friend of our disc golf community so I am sorry this event won't be taking place on one of their properties this year. I am grateful for this community and players coming to experience the Women's Global Event and I look forward to still enjoying the tournament at Nani Falcone tomorrow. Thank you all and don't hesitate to reach out!
Sincerely,
Ellen Starman
