Welcome to the 2020 Oak Knoll open. From an idea to a built disc golf course, I’d like to be the first to thank you guys for showing up for the first official tournament at Oak Knoll. My crew and good buddies john Snyder and shawn madden have put in A lot of time and effort to make this dream a reality and I’d like to thank them first. I’d like to Thank all the sponsors who bought a Tee sign and help enable this to be a b teir with 500 added cash to the pros. Stinson mechanical, Usul , Capital City Disc Golf. Van Fleet family, Chris Wilcox ,all day disc golf ,James medley ,Kuhl discs ,willamette dgc ,Robert Voss and next gen.

Teetimes are posted show up to hole one check in before your tee time. Tee off at hole 1 and finish the full 18 and turn in your scores on live scoring. Code oak2020 for live scoring. I’ll go over the obs and they are also posted on the tee signs also.
Hole 1 golf green, road Hole 2 sticker right and over
Hole 3 stickers right and over.
Hole 4 stickers right and over.
Hole 5 none
Hole 6 stickers behind basket.
Hole 7 sand pit or green and stickers right.
Hole 8 vineyard right and behind basket flagged
Hole 9 left cart path and right stickers. Golf green by basket and flagged behind basket area.
Hole 10 stickers right
Hole 11 flagged behind basket. Last out if ob.
Hole 12 marsh and flagged area near basket. DZ if land in the marsh.
Hole 13 sand pit plays as hazard and golf green ob.
Hole 14 sand pit, green or pond Hole 15 ob cart path, fence and over blackberries near green, long past two marked trees on fairway,Island starts at edge of stickers and is surrounded by cart path ob and flagged stickers. If go in stickers don’t try and go in it’s thick. Take the drop.
Hole 16 Throwing from OB have to land left of the path if do not make it on the safe side proceed to drop zone.
Hole 17 snake canal along left side. Be careful of driving range.
Hole 18 pond ob and cart path behind the basket. safe left and right of pond. Proceed to drop zone if don’t make in bounds off the tee. If Second shot is ob play Last spot in bounds.
Tee pad for am women.
Can choose to also take a drop and play from DZ throwing for 3 but can play around pond also.

OK I promised everybody carts but new to being a tournament director on a bigger event especially at a golf course I didn’t realize you had to put the golf carts in the initial buy in fees. I’m talking to Scott (owner) because I think he’s was talking about donating to us in appreciation for all we did this week. He might just allow us to use them for free and under PDGA guidelines. I just have to talk to him in the morning and it’s not for sure yet. If he does I will be taking donations to give back to this beautiful course $20-25 I think we could give them a big thank you. If you don’t have it and only have five dollars feel free to donate all these funds will go to the future of our course and relationship with the owners

Thank all you guys for coming out. thank you Anthony for coming out with the baskets to have all matching baskets and making the set up a lot easier. thank you again John Snyder for putting as much time as you have into it putting up the baskets and making this course tournament ready. And being there when I can’t l. shawn madden thank you so much for all the assistance you’ve given me the whole time the stamp you made. Thank you to all the sponsors to allow this to happen. I’m sorry for the delay guys my work has kept me pretty busy all week and so I finally got it posted the teetimes are up I will be there about 830 9 o’clock on Saturday for check in if you haven’t paid please get there earlier than your tee times. I will send the players meeting tomorrow evening latest.
