I am finally recouped enough to have an independent thought. I am so thrilled at how this event went. A little chilly and a little windy, but I could not have asked for a better turnout and such a smooth sail.
Thank you Tim, Catherine, Andrew, Jeremy Morin, Tommy, @kat Douglas, @brian Bayford for all of the assistance making this go from a group of people throwing a disc into a serious event. I am most grateful for each of you not just on Sunday, but for all you do.
Disc golf for me has been very personal. I don't pretend to be good, but I really enjoy it. Retiring as a soccer referee left a void having done that for over two decades, and so much of my life involves my profession. I have made so many relationships over the last couple of years and I am really thankful for that.
Many asked about next year. Trying to fit this around the University schedule is not easy. However, with a little foresight, it is absolutely my hope to bring it back with a few tweaks and twists. Be looking for The Maiden Voyage - The Sequel 2023!
Please enjoy time with your families through the holiday, and look forward to seeing everyone soon enough or in 2023!
