A reminder that check-in will be available from 8-8:50 a.m. at the pavilion on the Henry Clay Blvd side of Clay Park. You pull in behind 18 West's tee. There is no players meeting. A horn for two minutes will be sounded at 8:58 a.m. followed by another blast to start at 9. Please give yourself enough time to get out to your hole. If you're on East, it could take up to 15 minutes to get out there, whether you're walking across the park or driving to the Wetzel Road lot and walking from there.

We’re officially one month out from The Inaugural Syracuse Open Sponsored by Karmic Disc Sports, and I’ve got an important registration update.

As I have to place the hoodie order on May 15, I’m moving up the timeline for reducing pro capacity.

On May 13 at 8 p.m., I’ll be opening up all but 10 remaining spots on the pro side (so, if there are 50 registered pros, I’ll move the cap to 60). Waitlisted players will be let in accordingly. Non-registered ams will have 48 hours to jump in and ensure a players pack, while spots remain.

On May 15 at 8 p.m., the order goes in. I will be buying some extra hoodies to cover additional ams/side sales. If you’re near the top of the waitlist at that point (should one exist), I’ll make sure to order your size. You’ll also get first dibs on buying the hoodie outright if you don’t get into the event.

So, pros, get signed up now ($5,000 minimum added cash). Ams, get on the waitlist. And non-players, if you want a sweet hoodie, shoot me a PM. They're $30, as previously announced, with upticks for 2X+

With registration for $25 sponsors set to begin tonight and club members tomorrow, a reminder that PDGA rules limit these “limited exceptions” to 1/3 of a field and 1/2 of any division. So, I’ll be capping such registrants at 24 total amateurs and 24 total pros. Am division caps could also come into play (I can only take six limited exceptions for a division of 12 like MA1, for instance). I will allow players to join a waitlist if their division is full and limited exceptions remain (MA2 and MA40 possibly).

Because of Disc Golf Scene’s settings, it’s possible I’ll have to manually adjust a registration if someone doesn’t follow these rules.

As previously announced, anyone who buys a sponsorship and does not get into the field will receive a full refund. Once you’re into the field, your sponsorship is non-refundable.
