First of all I want to thank all the veterans that made this event possible. Thank you for your sacrifices, for protecting us, and for defending our rights! Every day we look down that fairway we thank you for your courage, strength and dedication to keeping us safe! THIS EVENT WAS DEDICATED TO YOU!
To all the Sponsors and Player sponsors We are so thankful for your ongoing support and sponsorship of our PDGA events. Your generous sponsorship has made a tremendous impact on our cause to grow the sport and we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your dedication to us and disc golf!
To all the players we want to extend a heartfelt thank you for attending another ONESTAR event! We understand you have several choices each weekend to play and please know that your presence and participation at a ONESTAR event helped to make it a memorable and engaging experience!
To The Guadalupe Blanco River Authority (GBRA) thank you for hosting the first PDGA sanctioned tournament on the beautiful Coleto Creek Park Disc Golf Course! Thank you to your very courteous staff and thank you for the addition of the disc golf course to add to all the wonderful amenities available on the property. This is truly a destination that every disc golfer will enjoy for many years to come that is family oriented and is a vacation destination. Too many more thank you; as this event will only get bigger and bigger!
Thanks to Waldo Castro for a ‘stand up’ TD job; Justin Les & Alan Rohan for course, HQ and Camp prep and any others that offered a helping hand thank you! The loyalty, help and you all just being there to support the cause showed your unselfishness to sacrifice a weekend to be there to support OneStar and the 1st event at Coleto Creek. It’s truly a blessing to know I have friends that are willing to support what we have all created and to continue to be there to watch it blossom!
Also thank you all that donated a disc to the GBRA youths! We had over 50-disc donations that will go to the parks youth and other programs to grow the sport of disc golf!
Thank you to my wife, Christine Bazan-Hall for the mad support and her being there this weekend was awesome!
Mother nature truly blessed this event as during both rounds there was not a lick of rain and the course soaked up the water so well! So to all you fair weather golfers that dropped out, sorry not sorry!
Please spread the word of this course, the park and all the amenities! I’m so glad you all got to experience what this property is capable of and how awesome it was to just be on the property all weekend with disc golfers camping and just enjoying life and the weekend!
