Good afternoon and thank you for registering for the Star Frame Showdown Stop #1

Due to COVID protocol, there will be NO players meeting before the event. This email will act as a virtual players meeting. PLEASE READ THIS EMAIL CAREFULLY AS IT SHOULD ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email them to me and I will find you an answer.

The schedule for this event is as follows:

3/20 - 3PM - 6PM - We will have early Check-In at the barn across the road from the main (grass) parking lot on the property. Please use early check-in if possible as that will allow us to get everything in order much more efficiently on Sunday.

3/21 - 7:45AM - 8:45AM - Check-in. If you were not able to check-in early, you will need to make sure you check-in at the barn across the road from the main (grass) parking lot on the property. You will be informed of your starting hole and given your players pack. You will need to follow all COVID/Social distancing guidelines while around Tournament Central.

PLAYER’S PACK WILL CONSIST OF A CUSTOM STAMPED DISC, A WESTSIDE DISCS WATER BOTTLE AND A DYNAMIC DISCS TOWEL

As of this email, there are no players on the waitlist. If we happen to get a waitlist, it will be filled starting at 8:45AM based on how many registrants did not arrive to check-in.

We will call two minutes at 9:28AM. Start will be called at 9:30AM.

All players will be starting at 9:30AM. Your starting hole will be posted on the PDGA event page located at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/49145. It will be posted Friday March 19th at 9PM. It could update before the start of the event. Please be sure to check the event page after 9AM sunday morning.

SCORING
It is our hope that every card uses the PDGA live scoring system. This is NOT the PDGA App.
You can access live scoring by going to PDGA.com/SCORES
The event code is: SFS2021
Follow the prompts to enter scoring for your card.
All cards should also keep a paper scorecard, which will be provided to you at tournament central.
YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR SCORES IN THE LIVE SCORING SYSTEM AT THE END OF YOUR ROUND BEFORE LEAVING THE TOURNAMENT AREA.
Round two tee time and starting holes will be posted to the PDGA results page. The start time will also be posted on the Star Frame Discs facebook page.

CONSIDER BRINGING YOUR LUNCH
lunch break will be 1 hour after last card, and the closest lunch is 40 minutes round trip

Did anyone witness someone’s disc that was playing the open course this morning hit the tail light of a silver escape? My tail light is busted and I know for a fact it was not like that when I parked this morning. The respectful thing to do when a disc accidentally hits someone’s car and damages it, is to notify that owner. It is an expensive replacement. If someone knows, please speak up.
