As I've received numerous requests to get into OOH NOO it's Lake OOO, I feel the need to mention AHS policy with event registration again.
Once registration closes, we do not add anyone else. In the past, we did. The reason we no longer do this is for a very simple and understandable reason.
We do not add/allow anyone to register once general registration closes as it can be perceived as showing favoritism as well as an unfair advantage.
Adding players when general registration closes adds variable of change. Once it closes, the field has already been determined by you, the players. If we add/allow someone in after it closes, this alters the division and does not show those that registered in a timely manner fairness.
Not to say that this is the case but for an example:
If we have a division that we allowed a player to get in when it closes, this player could have watched registration, "sized up" the field, and then requested to get in. How would that division feel if all others signed up when it was open and then this late add takes a payable spot or even wins?
That blame lies on me, the TD for allowing that and you, the player, would be upset and disgruntled with me. You would have every right to be.
I hope this helps everyone to understand a little more of why we do this.
For those that have requested to get into OOH NOO, Armistice Open is live and next weekend. The 27th is doubles (Buck Rhaney) and it is live. Support a charity event and also snag yourself a partner and sign up for the two remaining events of the AHS Triple Crown.
