Hi All,

Unless there are more add/drops, we should be all good to go with the tee times as posted online. But still, please double check in the AM. I'm sorry for all the changes. There's been an abnormal flurry of activity due to the weather.

Tomorrow will be a little wet in the AM, but the wind will be down. Looks like everything settles down in the afternoon. We plan to get there early to walk to the course and verify there's no majo debris.

That's a long winded way of saying, plan to have extra towels and an umbrella to stay dry. It should be manageable. Finally, please do try to pack in parking starting in the north lot. We need to maximize the parking space.

Let's get this thing rolling! Look forward to seeing you all out there tomorrow.

While we had to suspend play for Saturdays play for safety reasons - which really is unfortunate. Sorry. We do have some news..

Tee Times will be updated later today. We do have some drops and we'll need to shuffle a little. I'll get an update out before lunch on that. But do check your tee time before you go to bed tonight.

Early Check-in: For those in-town or interested in coming out, We will head over to Vanish Brewery from 12:30pm to 4pm and set up an area to enable folks to check-in early and pick up their player's packs. We had about 20 - 30 folks come out yesterday.

Vending: We have Dynamic Discs and likely Neptune Discs vending at the event. Dynamic Discs is setup across from the basketball courts. They have a big RV setup with all kinds of good stuff. Neptune Discs is a Virginia based company which just released 4 of their first 4 discs. I've thrown the Marlin and it's a great controllable fairway driver.

Now for some of the fun stuff!

Ace Bounties: For those that have been in our events before know what's coming :-). Bluechip is sponsoring an Ace Bounties on Holes 7, 10 & 18! If you hit an ace on any of these holes - you're in the money!
-Hole 10 is worth $100.
-Hole 7 is worth $250.
-Hole 18 is worth $500!
The general Ace Pot (if you bought in at sign up) is sitting at: $124.
I can't wait to hear all the cheering on the course! As Casey White would say, 'Send it Bub!'.

CTP: Hole 6 and 11 will be our Closest to the pin competition holes. The Pot is sitting at $118.

Side Games:
We’re happy to bring back last year’s pre-round games for all to enjoy! This year we’re offering three different games.

The Radar Challenge:
We’ll crown a champion for the fastest forehand and backhand throw. There is a practice net that we’ll measure your throw into. You can have as many throws as you’d like! No Pot to buy in here - just the honor of knowing you have the fastest gun in Western Loudoun County!

The Marksman Skill Shot:
There will be 7 stations setup around the black marksman basket at Tournament Central. You will get 1 putt from each station. The points will be awarded as listed below.
-Made putt – 3 points
-Touches chains – 2 points
-Hits basket (band, pole, basket) without hitting the ground first – 1 point
-The current pot sits at: $30 for the winner

The Scattersville Hot Round:
For those that hadn't already signed up for this, this will be our paid challenge. Each attempt will cost 5$
-1$ of each entry will go to the Freedom Center Kitchen Aid effort
-No mulligans! Each round must be played with at least one other competitor for validation.
-The current Pot sits at $45 for the winer

Finally Parking:
Since this is now a 1 round event and some folks will stick around for awards, please be sure to pack in tight on the parking and utilize the north lot. We'll direct you accordingly once that's full.

Please check your scores and standings prior to leaving. I'd really love to get the trophies distributed before the podium finishers take off. Tracking down folks for trophies is a challenge at best.

Because of the Governor's declaration of a state of emergency and the likelihood of sustained high winds and potential flooding, we will not be competing tomorrow.

Instead, we will play a single round of tee times on Sunday. We gamed out several scenarios trying to see if we could squeeze in two rounds, but there simply is not enough daylight. If even one card had significant trouble on the course, we would end up in the dark.

We understand that this is not an ideal outcome, but it is the safest one for all players. Please be careful tomorrow and we will see you all on Sunday.

Event Update:
The course work is largely complete. A hearty Thank You goes out to all the club volunteers that came out to do the weed eating and clean up! The OB paint is laid down. The course looks fantastic and is largely ready to go. If you checkout the pictures section, we have the layout score card loaded along with a number of pictures for the players pack. This coming Friday, we have the Flex start C-tier and the last minute course touches will be done (signage etc).

We will have the initial rough draft of the tee times loaded later today. We're looking to seeing you all come out this weekend. Weather right now looks fantastic!

Hi All,
In case you're interested, JRay will be hosting a Flex start C-tier event at Clark's Run on Friday, the day prior to LoCo Open on Friday the 22'nd. Additionally, he's bringing the Dynamic Discs RV and will be vending over the weekend. Basically, this is going to be a lot of fun. It's a great way to warm up prior to the main event. We'll have all the tournament OB paint down so it should play like the main event.
