Good Afternoon everyone,
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning. We will be at a different shelter this year as our usual one was already reserved by the time we decided to play Lima. So when you get to the park make a left turn as if going to the boat ramp there at Lake Lima. We will be in the smaller shelter just past 13's basket. If you are starting on the front nine or parking in that parking lot by the front nine for your round, then please park across the street from our shelter (I think it's called the Miami shelter. There is a very large parking area there for us. The parking area by our shelter is much smaller than what we are used to.
We've been watching the weather for the last ten days and your guess is as good as mine. At last look they are calling for rain after midnight ending by check in time, then a light rain around 2:00. But in the past week I've seen rain all day to no rain after 9:00. So I'd say prepare for the worst and hope for the best. If we do need to delay for any reason during a round you will hear two blasts of the horn. At which time you should mark your lies and proceed to safety. But hopefully that won't come into play.
Everything is pretty cut and dried at Lima. Mostly OB's are on or over paved roads and walkways, beyond the split rail fence on holes 14 and 15. Surrounded by water on #5 and there is an OB area at the left corner of hole number 7 which is defined by paint, string and a property fence. In other words, don't go left on 7 until after the corner. Everything you need to know about OB's are on the live scoring app. No two meter rule!
We will be playing long baskets on the front nine first round and short baskets second round. As a result we will have the $100 Ace bonus in effect for ROUND TWO. We will also be having CTP's for one round only, and that will also be round two. Again this is a $35 tournament and all ams other than Ma1 will receive a players pack. But while payouts are still pretty decent, they don't look like our normal heavy payouts. So please keep this in mind.
Tee assignments are posted on the PDGA page and Marnie will have her board there in the morning as well. Please be sure to check in and get your players pack. Big Thanks to the Lima crew (Richo, Anthony, Craig, Tristan and anyone I may have missed) for stepping up and inviting us back to Metro, the course is looking good.
Mama will have lunch available for purchase at break. If you leave, PLEASE make sure to check our starting time for round two. If the weather does go according to what my app says currently, we will rush through lunch like we did a few years ago when we beat the storm by a few minutes. Which also means if you are a slow card, you will not get much lunch time. That hour is a suggested time and not set in stone.
Everyone drive safely and we will see you in the morning. Dress warm, dress appropriately. Have a great time and "FIND YOUR MOJO"
Bob, Marnie and Team Mojo!
