Southern Michigan Open / AM A-tier is May 14th & 15th at Rolling Hills on the 14th & Ponds of LakeShore on the 15th. Player pack of $70+ value which exceeds entry fee and on top of that nice payouts, sponsored ctp's, and sponsored trophies. Just made a 850 disc order for this event with Innova, MVP, Discraft & Trilogy (Latitude, Dynamic, & Westside) so disc choices will be of 1200 disc. 7 item player pack selection of 3 disc(1 Innova, 1 Discraft, & 1 Trilogy), dri fit shirt, full color mini, towel, & sticker. Hope to see many of you there with much warmer and brighter conditions.

thanks to all who assisted with a helping hand (Mother Nature was not one of them) / special thanks to my better half (Sissy) in spite of fighting off some cold symptoms again gave up her weekend to ensure the tourney ran smoothly / thanks to all who played with the beast (Zeppelin) before, between, and after rounds for he is pooped //

I hope all enjoyed the timeliness of the the event with 2 rounds completed and scored before 4 pm on Saturday and 1 round and final 9 completed and scored by 2 pm on Sunday.

I have had this posted for some time but I have brought this to the top of the comment section so players are aware that at this late date there is no cash refund available due to the high cost involved in the purchasing of the HUGE player pack. I have had a lot of inquires over the last 12 hours because of the snow so I wanted to re-post this so all questions are answered.

I follow the PDGA guidelines for refunds and will mail player packs for anyone that does not make the event and the player provide mailing information.

See the refund policy below that is set by the PDGA for refunds. Due to the large size of the player pack and cost associated with it for my A-tier events I can not provide cash refunds (like I do for my C-tier events) other than as outlined by the PDGA below. However, I will send the player their full player pack which has a retail value that exceeds the players entry fee. If you signed up for any of the side games (ace pool, ctp, basket toss, or food) I can refund you the $$ for those side game items

PDGA POLICY ON REFUNDS

Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at 14 or less days from the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a 10% handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walkup entry (if offered.) If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus up to 10% of the player pack value to cover handling and shipping.) In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash refund.

If you can not make the event please provide shipping address, shirt size (we have women style and sized shirts) and choice of 3 disc and give me preferred weights and give me choice of about 8 models to ensure I get you disc you throw. // Thanks

1) 1 Innova Disc (you choose the model with a good selection choice)
2) 1 Trilogy Disc (you choose the model with a good selection choice)
3) 1 Discraft Disc (you choose the model with a good selection choice)
4) 1 dri-fit tourney stamped shirt,
5) 1 weighted mini or full color mini (you choose),
6) 1 towel.

8) 1 Pay to play Band for tourney event rounds for Saturday

Plus a very nice payout to the top 1/3 of each division and trophies for divisions with 4 or more player

The park will have a person in the activity center in the morning selling lunch vouchers. I believe you will have 3 to 4 options at $6 each to choose from which includes drink, side item, and main item. The couple people who signed up for lunch during the registration process will be refunded those $ from me when they check in

Weather looks ok for this weekend with partly cloudy skies and Mid 30's on Saturday and High 30's on Sunday // Registration/Check In will be inside the activity center right by hole 1 for the Monster and Original Course. The lunch room will be available for lunch purchases. I believe they will have several choices in which the player can buy a voucher in the morning. The break between rounds is going to be brief since both courses are at the same location and the park will have food available for purchase so plan accordingly and either plan to purchase a hot lunch from the park or pack a lunch. The players who purchased lunch thru me (the #'s were very low) will be reimbursed their $6 or $12 that they paid when they check in. // Please note all group pairing will be in groups of 3 per hole unless a odd # so with 36 holes on Saturday and a 9:30 am tee off you should be on your way home by no later than 3:45 pm to 4 pm on Saturday. Sunday's tee off is at 9 am with 24 holes and possibly 33 holes depending if you make the final 9 event. If you do not make the final 9 you will be done by no later than 1 pm if you make the final 9 and win prize payouts you should be done by 3:30 pm.

All Divisions will be playing 1 round of 18 holes on the Monster and 1 round of 18 holes on the Original on Saturday (AM 1 will play 2 rounds of long tees to regular baskets, AM2 will play long tees on the Original and short tees to champ baskets on the Monster with all other divisions playing short tees) / and Advance and Intermediate will be playing 1 round of 24 holes on the Monster on Sunday (Short Tees to Champ Baskets) / Women, Age Protected Divisions, Rec & Novice will be playing 1 round of 24 holes on the Original on Sunday (Short Tees). Then there will be the final 9 for the top 40% of each division with the top 33.3% of each division getting nice payouts on top of the $70 valued player pack everyone gets.

Player pack retail value will equal and/or exceed $60+ and in addition there will be generous payouts to top 1/3 of each division. Over $20 in sponsorship per player and also sponsored trophies. 100 players means over $2000 in added sponsorship.
