Thanks Keith and Mark for telling the folks what we VOLUTEERS spent last winter discussing and putting into practice this year- I have told everyone at my award ceremonies this year if you want to have your voice heard COME TO THE MDGO MEETINGS OVER THE WINTER- no one ever said that everything we do is right- we do try to do what WE (6-8 persons) think will be best for this tournament- with 300+ persons that job will just keep getting harder- I will hope that some of the FEW people who dont understand what we are doing will have their bodies at that meeting in Oct/Nov- it will be posted here- after the MDGO Scheduling Meeting participation usually drops way off- Itll be nice to see some new faces this year- and remember WE ARE VOLUNTEERS- some of you should think about that before you post-

If you see a wait listed person that it totaly for tracking purpose.
This site is sweet for TD's (and causes headaches) So those people already paid online to play both the LCQ and the States. They did not follow instructions !!! So instead of refunding there $ we use that site to track it for us that is it. !!!!!

Ok, I get it now. I just pre registered myself (Brian Cole, No PDGA #, Pool D). Also my friend just pre-registered as well (John Cowell, No PDGA #, Pool D). We both paid the ten dollars, however if I am understanding correctly we will need to pay another $10 on Friday because we are not PDGA members. We are guaranteed a spot for the LCQ now, which most likely gets us into the Sat/Sun State Championship, correct?

The MDGO & MCDGO both did not want anyone to drive up and then not be able to play . We felt that with the amount of players coming to this event that the chance of turning away someone that just drove 100 mils or more was not what we wanted.

Berth winner if all registered by the deadline were in. Then all the open spots in the pools we filled.

I agree the "Qualifier" is not actually that. The concept was there but turning people away again we felt it not what we wanted to do.

All $ raised in the LCQ is going back directly to the payouts.

I think I put it out there very clearly Keith.

That post right there says There is no need to actually play the qualifier, just reg for it. If thats how it's going to work can I just send you my entry plus $10 and see you all Saturday?

What Darren is saying is that Jeff's post today about closing pools as they fill. So basically your not actually qualifying, your just pre reging for the finals for $10. Why should the the pool be closed after it fills the remaining spots available for the finals? Shouldn't you take everyone that wants to play in any poll and take the top scores from those players to fill the spots?
