Good evening, If you are receiving this email then you are currently signed up for the Kinston Open. This is not the official players email but just some info for anyone playing practice rounds over the next two days.
If you are playing a practice round then it is mandatory to check into the pro shop before starting your round. The entrance to the pro shop is the black door that is down the brick walkway behind the pool.
The course maps are in the Udisc app and the hole distances are as accurate as Udisc will allow, I suggest bringing a range finder if you would like exact distances. The OB notes for each hole are also in Udisc and they match what will be in the PDGA live scoring app during the tournament. You must search KCC Kinston Open under the courses tab to find the course. There is signage throughout the course to help you navigate it but I suggest using the maps in udisc, it will be very helpful.
A few general rules for the course are:
All golf greens are OB
All sand traps are hazards
Standing water in the fairways is casual.
Additional course / facility info:
All Players and spouses / families are welcome to use the pool and grill behind the pool during or after practice rounds as well as during the event.
There is a bathroom and water station on your right after you pass by hole 4's basket. You will pass back by this same building again after tapping out on hole 10. During the event there will likely be some water on hole 14's tee as well. There is also a place to fill your bottles where you pick up your carts.
Important DO NOT for any reason drive a golf cart onto any of the golf greens or golf tee boxes. This can result in a DQ from the event for breaking this rule. Please use the cart paths wherever able and avoid driving through any wet areas, especially in the ball golf fairways.
