Ayyyy yoooooo!!! It's going to be a glorious January day and we are going to get out and throw some frisbees. Life. Is. GOOD!!
First things first, thank you to you for supporting this event. 84 people have signed up at the time of this email and that is just bonkers. We are easily going to cross the threshold of highest amount for one of my flex tournaments. You all are great, and it is awesome to watch the sport continuously grow.
I want to thank Disc Revolution
www.discrevolution.com for their continued support to my events. They will be handling the amatuer payouts as always, and I just am thrilled to have them in my corner. Be sure to check out the putting league at Soccerhaus on Thursday nights starting at 7pm. $5 to get in the door, $5 to do singles, $5 to do doubles. Top scores of the night earn real cash (pros) or store credit (ams) and doubles pays out in cash all the time. Inside secret here is that we may be able to get the big blue field, again, but we have to show a crazy amount of support for this year's event, so come on out. 4845 List Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80919 Thursday nights at 7pm.
Back to the tournament.
Main important thing is everyone should be aware of the rules of play. Please check out
www.pdga.com/rules for the latest. If you are unsure of something, ask your card. If you all are unsure, check the rule book. If you still can't come up with a definite answer, call out "PROVISIONAL" and play it both ways that you think is right. Then at the end of your round, consult with me and I will let you know which way to go.
Other important rules to call out:
DO NOT JUMP THE FENCES!! If a disc goes into the neighbors yard, you need to leave it there and try and retrieve it after the round. Consider those yards a big lake of acid and it has just swallowed your favorite disc, never to be seen again...
MARK YOUR LIE! This may seem like a casual round but you have to mark your lie before playing your next shot, if you are using the same disc.

No animals. This is a sanctioned event and so pets are to remain home, unless you have a spectator that is in control of them, or they are a service animal. (Animals may not accompany players with the exception of players whose disability or medical condition requires the use of an accredited service animal. Players are required to notify the Tournament Director of accredited service animal usage during play.)
No extra shots. Every throw is considered a live throw so if you miss a putt, and then throw your other putter, it is considered an extra throw and there is a stroke penalty.

No music except for headphones.
No drinking or drug consumption while you are playing your round. Before or after, I don't care what you do with your life but if you are in tournament mode, please do not consume.
Now that I am the total buzz kill about it all, let's go over the course rules. The signs at every tee box give the details of the hole, so if you are unsure, check that out.
All OBs, play it from where last in bounds with a stroke penalty.
Players are playing from the pro tee pad to the yellow basket except for FA and Junior divisions, they will tee off from the AM pads on holes 4, 11, 12, 16 and 18.
All holes are par 3 with the exception of hole 12. It'll play as a par 4 for all AMs.
Hole 1 - Sidewalk right and beyond is OB. Picnic area is also OB.
Hole 2 - Sidewalk that runs East to West down the middle of the fairway is safe, same with the concrete culvert. Street right and beyond is OB. Sidewalk that runs North to South behind the basket and beyond is OB. If any questions, ask me or throw a provisional.
Hole 3 - Players throw from the upper tee pad by the trees. Landing before the creek is safe, only landing in the creek is OB. Sidewalk right and beyond is OB. Sidewalk long and beyond is OB.
Hole 4 - Creek and beyond OB. There are posts along the right side of the fairway that show a division of park property and private property. Going right and beyond of those posts is OB.
Hole 5 - Creek and beyond OB. Property line right and beyond is OB.
Hole 6 - Creek and beyond OB. Property line right and beyond is OB.
Hole 7 - Creek and beyond OB. Property line right and beyond is OB.
Hole 8 - Creek and beyond OB. Property line right and beyond is OB. There is a mando tree on the right side of the fairway, players must have their discs travel left of that. If they miss the mando, proceed to the drop zone with a stroke penalty. Drop zone will be flagged. NOTE: Mando rules have changed and you can not unwind a shot that has missed the mando. If you have missed the mando, you have missed the mando and you must move to the drop zone. Discs must travel and land safely beyond the mando object in the path as outlined. See me if any questions.
Hole 9 - Creek and beyond OB. Property line right and beyond is OB.
Hole 10 - Players will be playing to the Red Basket marked #9. We had someone steal the basket so this is the one hole that will be playing to the red. It is also across the creek so landing on either side of the creek is safe. Landing in the creek is OB. Property line and beyond is OB.
Hole 11 - Property line and beyond is OB. Creek and beyond is OB. There is a mando tree on the right side of the fairway, players must have their discs travel left of that. If they miss the mando, proceed to the drop zone with a stroke penalty. Drop zone will be flagged.
Hole 12 - Property line and beyond is OB. Creek and beyond is OB. Par 4 for AMs. Par 3 for Pros.
Hole 13 - Creek and beyond is OB. Sidewalk right and beyond is OB.
Hole 14 - Basket is on the other side of the creek so both sides of creek are in play. Sidewalk long and beyond is OB. In the creek is OB. Make sure hole 17 has teed off before you drive.
Hole 15 - Sidewalk long and beyond is OB.
Hole 16 - Sidewalk left and beyond is OB.
Hole 17 - Creek left and beyond is OB.
Hole 18 - Creek left and beyond is OB.
If you read all of this, then thank you! You're super duper awesome.
