Good morning everyone,

Thank you for joining us for yet another Dark Ace doubles tournament! Last year we hosted our first USDGC Doubles Qualifier event, and we were asked to throw as many as we wanted this year. While we tried to play Harmony on 2 days back in May, we were unable to because of weather and ultimately had to cancel one of the events.... but now we're back! The top 3 teams from the amateur men's field will qualify to play in September at Winthrop Gold and represent DARK ACE!

George and I will be set up under the pavilion with merchandise. You will check-in there. Please check-in 30 minutes in advance if possible, and/or let us know via email/text. Some teams may have been moved a slot sooner or later to make sure there were at least 2 teams to a card, so go take a look at your tee time and let us know if there will be any problem (ASAP please).

If you're wearing Dark Ace gear, you'll be eligible to win an additional ace pot of $100 (to be split amongst any other aces wearing DA), so be sure and grab something before heading out. The Dark Ace traveling tourney ace pool is at a staggering $826 (pays out 75%). If you registered late and we do not have a shirt for you, we will work to get that to you (along with medals for winners).

We will be using UDisc for scoring. Attached is a PDF guide for Harmony Bends OB rules. Don't hesitate to ask us questions or play provisionals, taking pictures when necessary to discuss with me after your round.

PLANS FOR WEATHER

With rain overnight and through 12pm on the forecast, there's a possibility of Harmony being unplayable. We're in talks with local players and expect to be able to use Harmony as there is only a project half inch or so of rain over the 12 hours there will be "scattered thunderstorms". That being said, it will be a "game time" decision, so look out for emails TOMORROW MORNING as we re-assess. THE PLAN IS TO USE INDIAN HILLS AS A BACK-UP COURSE IF HARMONY IS UNPLAYABLE.

If for any reason we need to cancel altogether, due to thunderstorms or because the course becomes dangerous in the middle of the round we will remain in contact with players over email as well as posting in the Columbia disc golf page and comments on DGS.

Isn’t this against the rules? Or did they already clear it with you Alex?
