Sometimes things get lost in translation in the about section, so I just wanted to make sure it was clear here.
This is a one round event of Triples. The format is below. It is NOT just a best disc event. We've had people in the past not realize that and then not be happy. There will be 4 different formats used.
After the we play the one round, there will be a BONUS round for anyone who wants to stay. It is a winner takes all $120 first place price. It will utilize the formats below as well.
Please note, since this event is on Independence Day, we will only be taking a 30 minute break from the last card of round 1 before the bonus round. So please plan accordingly with lunch/snacks/etc. There will not be enough time to leave and go somewhere in between rounds.
The layout format:
Round 1 - Blue layout (1-6 best disc, 7-12 goldilocks, A1-13 worst drive only, 14-20 risky shot)
Bonus Round 2 (optional) - Purple layout (1-6 goldilocks, 7-12 risky, A1-13 best, 14-20 worst drive only)
Risky shot is one we came across this winter and is challenging and strategic. Before players play that risky shot holes, they will tell the other card who Player A, B, and C is going to be. On each risky hole tee pad, player A will throw. The team can choose to play that disc OR have player B throw to improve player A. The risky part is once player B throws, player A disc is no longer an option. Player C can then choose to try to improve player B or take player B. But again, if player C throws, that disc has to be played. From there it is just best disc. It is tee shot only.
I hope that helps some. We are looking to have a great time!
