Payouts and Merch-outs
We’ve had a couple questions regarding this, so we wanted to clarify about the payout schedule (both AMs and Pros). Our team has finished collecting receipts for purchases of day-of tournament necessities (ice, extra water, etc), and we are finalizing the last deductions of these costs from the added cash we procured for the tournament. We need to double check this before topping up the extant player purse. Once that’s double checked, we will send the spreadsheet to our club Treasurer and pros will be paid directly as normal. For Ams, we send the list of everyone who is getting merch-out to Chains Disc Golf and Wellness, and from there they will create the online gift cards and send them out. Because there’s the extra step involved and lots of gift cards to generate, Am merch out will be a bit slower, but rest assured it is coming.

It looks like there is going to be some weather coming through this weekend. Currently it looks to mostly be confined to Sunday but we all know how accurate the weather forecast has been lately. Please be prepared to play rain or shine and please be patient if there are any delays this weekend due to storms.

There is also a potential heat advisory in effect for the weekend. We will have water available at tournament central and on Hole 8 however please come prepared. There is a variety store that will have cold drinks at the corner of Hamilton and St Julien St which is a ~5 min walk from the course.

We have added an approx. tee time block photo to the pictures page. This has a list of divisions that we want to send out in the displayed order during that time. This is just an estimate until registration closes. for example FA2 will be teeing off earlier in the morning/closer to 8am and MA2 will be teeing off later in the morning (last MA2 card ideally teeing off at 12pm). The order will repeat in the afternoon as cards come in and we have time to reshuffle the whole division based on scores, give them a break and then be sent out again.

POOL CHANGES - reducing capacity for unpredictable weather.

After learning more about best practices for running a tournament (through the PDGA TD Training program) we have decided to instead leave some space for unpredictable weather by removing 10 spots for the Saturday pool, rather than fill the field to max capacity. We feel this is necessary due to the previous 2 years BOTH having a lightning delays.

We've updated the current proposed schedule for tee time blocks per division (posted under 'Pictures' tab). We've had a lot of movement on and off the waitlist, so the number of cards per division, combination and ordering has changed slightly as a result from the previous update. These blocks are subject to change depending on how the last add/drops play out, but we wanted to give folks a better (though still tentative) idea of when to expect your division to be playing.
