Awesome time yesterday thank you. You guys did a great job. And I really appreciated that the restraint you had about not pushing up the player cap even with all the persuasion you were getting the flow was not at all bad for the 120 person field. Maybe now those people will realize the extra 2$ is worth it. specially since half that is for this website. MCCG have the best tournaments keep it up

I would like to thank Chris and John for all that they do for us. This was the first time that i sat out a tournament and helped you guys all day. It was a long day!(6am til 10pm). Being there all day to help out really made me realize how much you guys do for us on a regular basis.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work not only on the day of the touneys but the days and weeks leading up to them as well.

Wow!!! There were 34 spots available for day of registration and that sold out in 15 minutes, leaving just as many on the wait list. Hopefully this tournament will make you pay ahead of time and not have to be turned away. The last two events the Gale Vaughn and Motor City Open are absolute must play tournaments that you don't want to miss, with the GVM being played at River Bends again this year.

Thanks again to Ken Mango, Rob and Matt Stivers, and Andrew Hughes for helping setup the baskets and mark tee pads this morning along with helping count score cards, and mark tee pads as well. It's because of the volunteers that come out to help that make the Motor City Chain Gang's tournaments such a smooth and easy, well sometimes, process. Thanks again to Doug Watson and Marty Borucki for helping make the course look pristine for this tournament. Thanks to Krystal Fromm for helping run the raffle with 50/50 CTP we were able to raise $700 for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen which is stellar!!

More importantly thank you to all of the 120 players that came out and enjoyed beautiful weather, and got to experience Firefighters park like only you can for this tournament. If I missed anything with not spelling your name wrong, or it's not linking with the scene let me know and I will get it correct for you.

The Course is looking great for this Sunday's tournament. Marty Borucki has been doing a great job. Doug Watson will be at FF on Thursday during the day to begin moving Mulch around the course. We could definitely use assistance. Rakes, shovels, brooms, a pick-up, a tarp are tools of choice. i haven't played in a tourney before so i assume i would register for novice then? And i haven't ever had a PDGA membership. is this something i should get or should i just pay the extra $10?? I want ... show more ›

i haven't played in a tourney before so i assume i would register for novice then? And i haven't ever had a PDGA membership. is this something i should get or should i just pay the extra $10??
I want to play in a couple tourneys this year for some fun and to get some experience in. Any tips would be awesome!
