Quick update for the Double Dahn this coming Saturday June 6th. As of now its still on but to be completely transparent I'm still waiting for official approval by the Allegheny County parks director. Hopefully I'll know by Monday and since we are going green on Friday we should be able to proceed.

A virtual players meeting will be posted this Wednesday evening. It is a mandatory watch for all players and you will need to respond to me after watching. I'll go over how check-in will work, parking, any additional covid restrictions, and the normal player meeting things.

If you are registered and want to help make it a little easier for me, please email a good phone number for your team. Only 1 number is needed per team, as this will be the preferred communication for the day. Please include team name and players names in the email. If you didn't select a team name now would be a good time to do so.

Also for teams who didn't pre-pay, if you have an * next to your name on the dgscene page you will need to pay before Saturday. I can't allow cash to exchange hands on the day of as I initially planned, thanks covid! Gonna hold off on asking for people to pay tho until I know 100% its gonna be allowed to happen. If you need to refresh your memory of your team name or if you paid already check out the registration page.

One month till the Double Dahn dubz tournament at Deer Lakes on June 6th. Just so everyone is aware if the stay at home order in SWPA isn't removed before the event date I will postpone to a later date otherwise... We are going to give this fundraiser a go after delaying for 2 months! We have 36 teams (72 players) signed up with no waitlist so feel free to get on the waitlist if you are interested.

Most importantly I want everyone participating to know following social distancing measures will be a major priority for this event to happen. Other precautions will be in place to minimize contact and large gatherings. For instance no more than 36 people (one person from each team) will be allowed at the pavilion area at one time and face coverings will be mandatory when inside the pavilion. Also we will be going paperless for scoring. I will be posting the player meeting online here a few days before the event so folks can know what to expect and we don't all have to gather in the morning.

This isn't ideal I get it but we can make this happen! We can still have some laughs, throw some discs with our friends and enjoy a hopefully beautiful day at Deer Lakes.

Lastly, if you don't feel comfortable playing I get it! If you can't make it please message me through dgscene and request a refund or to be removed from the list.

Crossing my fingers I get to make the 5.5 hour drive back to Pittsburgh next month and see all of your beautiful faces, especially that Matt Rosier, he's got quite the forehand
