Overdue Event Recap:

First, I would like to thank everyone for coming out to play Flower Frenzy. As a B Tier Tournament and MDGO Gold-Level event, we are happy to see so many of you competing. Whether it was in Open/Professional divisions, or at the Amateur level, I watched scores all day as we had some really great battles. We certainly hope that you enjoyed the experience of the event, from check-in, collecting player packs, snacks/drinks, and of course payouts and State Berths for the Amateur divisions.

We appreciate your support and attendance. We hope that you will join us for future events that we are hosting. Feedback is important, so if you have ideas about how we can improve the experience for players, please shoot me a message and I will be happy to see if these ideas are something that we can work into future events.

Second, while my name is attached to the event as TD, I simply could not tackle these responsibilities without the great support of Team WC Glow. They again showed up to support the event by setting up in the morning, running registration, helping with on course needs, running the throw off for ace pool, help at payouts, and helping pack up for the day. They ROCK and are some of the very best people that I have n my corner. Running events would be so much more difficult without their support. I cannot say this enough, THANK YOU!

NO IN-PERSON PLAYER MEETING

Digital Scoring: PDGA scorecard APP (pdga.com/score)……..Code will be provided at check-in

New scoring guidelines in 2024:
ALL PLAYERS need to keep score. PDGA Live Scoring allows multiple players to keep score. Paper copies provided as well. If you keep a paper copy, YOU need to hand it in to TD following your round for confirmation. Penalty strokes can be added to your score for not submitting or incorrectly totaling scores.

Please check with TD to make sure scores are received or if there are questions before starting lunch or at the end of round 2.

All players need to check-in. Player check-in takes place from 8am-9:15 at the lodge (the building where the indoor bathrooms are located).

Round 1 Tee Off at 9:30 am

Round 2 Tee Off:
45 min from last card completed Round 1

Round 1 Tee Assignments:
Pro Masters, MA1 - LONG
Everyone Else - SHORT

Round 2 Tee Assignments:
Pro Masters, MA1 - LONG
Everyone Else - SHORT

If you bought in for 50-50, please look for the CTP flag on the course.

There will be CTPs provided in round 2. These are FREE TO PLAYERS. Please look for the CTP for your division. ONLY mark the CTP for your division.

Ace Pool - If there are no aces during the event, we will conduct a throw off following Round 2.

LUNCH
45 min break for lunch (this time starts when THE LAST CARD from Round 1 is submitted/finalized).
I will post on disc golf scene AND announce in the parking lot when that last card is turned in
Hole Assignments will also be available on the PDGA app once things are finalized

PAYOUTS will be started after the 2nd round in the lodge when YOUR ENTIRE division is finalized.

Any remaining spots are available to walk-up players - first come first served in the morning of the event.

Registration opens at 8am and runs until 9:15. We will be set up in the lodge (where the indoor bathrooms are located). All players need to check in in the morning. Amateur players, you will be able to pick up your player pack item at check-in.

We will do our very best to get everyone checked in as quickly as possible and provide you with ample time to warm up for the event. Player meeting details will be posted here on Disc Golf Scene tomorrow evening. In addition, you will be provided with a paper copy of the event details in the morning at check-in.

If you have already registered, you will need to be eligible for the division that you intend to play. If after the ratings update you are no longer eligible for a divison, I can move you to another division you are eligible for - PROVIDING there is still room in the event.
