Hello everyone!
We are super excited to host the 2022 Camp Serene Fall Classic this weekend out at Camp Serene. If you have not played this course before, you are in for a treat. First, please give a big thank you to James Morse this weekend when you see him at the course as he has done a ton of work to have the property looking as good as ever for this event.
This will be your official players meeting, so please read this email fully.

One Hour Lunch Break from last card getting in

CHECK IN/PLAYERS PACKS- All players are required to check in at the Mess Hall (building by 17's teepad) at the assigned time on your schedule. Your scorecards will be available for pickup at that time for round one.
LUNCH BREAK- Please bring your lunch with you for the event. Camp Serene is at least 20-25 minutes from the closest town to get food. With an hour lunch break total, please do not rely on driving somewhere to get lunch.
AWARDS/PAYOUT- This event will have trophies for first place in each division only. All amatuer divisions will be playing for scrip which must be redeemed at the tournament after the rounds. All pro divisions will be playing for Paypal payout which will be sent out after the event.
SCOREKEEPING- Please be aware we will be using paper scorecards for this event as there is no reliable cell service at Camp Serene. All groups are responsible to keep two scorecards, one of which being a paper card that needs to be turned in after the round in the Mess Hall. The second card can be a backup paper card or a UDISC card and is for accuracy purposes only. Please note: Any cards turned in with a scoring error on them is an automatic two stroke penalty per PDGA rules. Players ARE RESPONSIBLE to total their cards at the end of the round.
HOLE RULES- All hole rules are listed on the tee signs but are also in the attached sheet to this email. Please read them fully. If it is not listed on the tee sign/attached sheet, it is not OB. All Drop Zones will be clearly marked with a sign and flags. The only mando is on hole 18 and it will be clearly marked as well.
PLAYER GROUPINGS- We will be following all PDGA guidelines with groups which means they will be random. We will do our best to keep everyone within their own division but due to some of the divisions not having even numbers to make groups of four, some groups might be mixed and these will be chosen at random. For round two, all grouping will be done by score. If you are at the bottom of your division, you will likely be in a mixed division card for the second round.
PDGA EVENT: This is a PDGA B Tier and as such ALL PDGA rules apply. No smoking or drinking during the event as it will be an automatic disqualification. It is the players responsibility as PDGA members to know the rules prior to the event. We thank you for your cooperation with this.
LOST DISC REMINDER: Please remember there are some thick spots of rough at Camp Serene. We require all groups to follow the three minute rule of looking for a disc before it is declared lost and the player must throw from the previous lie. The clock can't start until all members of the group are looking for the disc. Please keep an eye on your fellow card member shots and use a spotter if your group feels it is needed. Holes 4,6,10,11,16 and 18 would not be a bad idea to use a spotter on. We are not requiring groups to do so, just a heads up that it might not be a bad idea.
DROP OUT/REFUNDS: We follow all PDGA guidelines when it comes to refunds. At this point PER PDGA refund guidelines any player who drops out will get a 25% refund or a players pack if they are in the amatuer divisions if their spot can't be filled (we don't have a wait list currently other than one MA2 player so please don't expect the spot to be filled.)
Thank you again for signing up for the 2022 Camp Serene Fall Classic. This is a special course and a very cool place to get to play some disc golf! Come this weekend ready to throw some good shots, make some birdies and have some fun!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Thanks,
Scott Withers & Jeff Korns
