Hole OB Rules
1 Both tees: Path and beyond. Road and beyond.
2 Both tees: Path and beyond is OB.
Blue tee: Must pass left of both mandatory, drop zone marked next to each mandatory tree.
Red tee: Must pass left of single mandatory. Drop zone located at base of mandatory tree.
3 Surrounded by water is OB.
4 Surrounded by water is OB.
5 Surrounded by water is OB.
6 Inside the soccer field is OB.
7 Surrounded by water.
8 Surrounded by water and right is OB.
Blue tee: if never inbounds proceed to red tee with penalty.
9 Creek is casual.
10 Creek is casual.
11 No OB.
12 No OB.
13 No OB.
14 Surrounded by water is OB.
15 Surrounded by water is OB.
16 Surrounded by water is OB.
17 Inside the soccer field is OB, over fences are OB. Parking lot and beyond is OB (defined by curb and grass line)
18 Walking path and beyond is OB. Road, parking lot and beyond is OB. If OB on drive, proceed directly to DZ with a penalty. Normal OB rules from the drop zone.
19 Orange Course Hole 1 with island green. Painted line defines the hazard line. If disc is completely outside the painted line putt from lie with a 1 stroke penalty.

Hello everyone you are receiving this email because you are registered for the Caldwell Ching disc golf tournament this Saturday. First off I would like to thank all of you for participating in this tournament. Thank you to Dynamic Discs and Ken Olson for player pack items and Justin Haynes for trophies. Please consider signing up for the Sawmills Sling later this year to complement this event.

There is no players meeting for this event and this email and the attached out of bounds sheet serves as that. Below you will find useful information in regards to the event.

Check In & Schedule

Tournament central is located at the gazebo near the restrooms and hole 1. Check in will be held from 7:30am until 8:30am. Please arrive promptly to keep us on schedule. The first round tee will be approximately 9:00am. Horn will be blown denoting two minutes as well as start. Starting hole will be on the PDGA website for the event. https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/51063

Round 1 MPO,FPO,MP40,MA1,MA2, and MA40 will play the blue long pads. All other divisions will play the short red tees.

After the last card is turned in there will be an hour lunch break, second round tee time will be on the PDGA website for the event and the UFO and Sawmills facebook groups. (Assume the second round tee time is 1 hr after your digital card is turned in). There are only a few restaurants close by so consider packing your lunch.

Round 2 all divisions will play the red short tees. Starting hole will be on the PDGA website for the event.

Scoring

We will be utilizing PDGA Live Scoring as the main scorecard for this event.

PDGA rules dictate a second scoring method must be used, UDisc is acceptable and preferred. We will have very few paper cards available if needed.


Few Hole Notes

Hole 2 Blue Tee: there are two mandos which both must be made. Drop zones are marked at the base of each mandatory tree.

Hole 7: Please keep an eye on drives for this hole, we will hopefully have a spotter but please help your cardmates by watching their shots.
Hole 8 Blue Tee: If you don’t clear the creek on your drive proceed to the red tee as the drop zone.

Hole 18: If your drive comes to rest out of bounds proceed to the drop zone. If it is close you can elect to throw a provisional shot before proceeding down the fairway.

Hole 19: Hole 19 plays as the orange course hole 1 with a hazard green. If you are not on the island, putt from where you are with a one stroke penalty. This is for both drives as well as other shots not landing inside the island.
