Last year the event was at Veterans Memorial Park but event for this year has at Ann Morrison Park. While we would have loved to host it at Veterans Memorial Park, the city requires a rental fee to reserve that course. Because this is a fundraiser, we felt it was important to avoid additional expenses that would reduce the amount of money raised for Camp Rainbow Gold.

Our goal at Gem State Disc Golf Club is to maximize the funds donated so we can help send children battling cancer and their families to Camp Rainbow Gold. The camp provides an opportunity for these children and their loved ones to step away from the challenges of treatment, make lasting memories, and simply enjoy being together in a supportive environment.

I know the tournament was at Veterans last year, my question was why it got changed and in the week before the tournament.
If that is the case you guys could have charged $5 more per team entry fee to cover the city fee. And done the switch on disc golf scene much sooner than the week of the tournament. As a club you can be more forthcoming and informative to the players that sign up for your tournament. I’m pretty sure the club knew about the city fee 3 months ago when it first got listed on Disc golf scene and was listed for veterans park.
