Waterloo Prize/Payout/L&F Pick-Up Opportunity is BACK on the schedule! This SATURDAY, Nov. 22nd, 11am – 2pm at Zilker Park. We should be set up at the Polo Picnic Table area (or nearby), close to the course. Look for all the big tubs of prizes & shirts/towels and all the small tubs of discs.

Prize Pick-Up Opportunity! Saturday, Nov. 15th, 11am – 2pm at Zilker Park.

Below are links to all the different results/give-aways from the 48th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic last month. If you are still owed a Cash payout, CTP/Raffle prize, Auction item, etc. from 48th Waterloo – or from an older Waterloo Club event - you can come collect it this Saturday, Nov. 15th, between 11am – 2pm at Zilker Park – we’ll be set up at the Polo Picnic Table area, near the disc golf course.

Also included here is a link to the “prizes owed” list. Just check to see if you are on it.

For unclaimed Doubles & Singles amateur payout, or league amateur payout, we will also have a lot of our merch there that you can choose from. It won’t be everything we have, but there will be a lot: all the 48th Waterloo discs, shirts, and minis, plus some other discs, tie dyed club towels, club hats, etc.

We still have some unclaimed raffle prizes so be sure to check your tickets; we’ll have those prizes out at Zilker too.

If you can’t make it this Saturday, the next opportunity will be at our annual Ice Bowl event in late January.

For the drawing, many of you have already sent in pictures of your winning tickets but if you haven’t yet, here is what you can do:

Take a pic of the winning ticket(s) and email it back to me.
Once I have replied that I’ve seen it, I will put your name on the prize pack(s).
* You can now discard the ticket(s).

This way even if you can’t make the prize pickup event this Saturday, your name will still be on the prize and you can get it at Ice Bowl or one of our other events next year or the year after; plus you can toss your ticket and not have to worry about keeping up with it.

We can take credit cards and you can Zelle us money, but those are both slower and more involved.

Paying with cash would be awesome.

FRIDAY DOUBLES AT WATERLOO

1 round of 18 holes, open to everyone. Bring Your Own Partner doubles, Best Shot (aka Scramble).
No pre-registration.

Please bring cash to pay for doubles; it is just faster and easier. Credit cards & Zelle available, but slower. Cash is best.

Sign up and tee off starts as soon as courses are set up. Goal is 9:30am.

4:00pm is deadline for final tee off. Not 4pm arrival or 4pm signup; must be able to tee off by 4pm.
Warning: some years even signing up at 3pm is too late because of how many teams are already at hole #1 waiting to start. Main message: get there early 

Cards limited to 2 teams.

Fee is $25 per person; includes $9 greens fee for the round, $2 ace pot, $2 fundraising, $12 to payout. (team fee = $50)

Two courses available: Kelly Course & CRDG Course (a new course designed by Joel that takes the place of the Olse Course this year).
The competition & ace pot are course-specific. If no aces on a course, that ace pot money goes to the fundraising.

If you get an ace in doubles, you MUST come to HQ to tell Patty or Gordon at the end of your round, or you might not get paid.
If you use a physical scorecard, then also write the name of the person who got the ace on your card.

If a team plays the same course more than once in the same division, only the best score will count.

New this year: Scoring done on UDisc. Paper cards available for those groups who can’t do UDisc.

If you sign up for one course but then change your mind and want to play the other instead, you MUST come by HQ to tell the doubles sign-up staff so they can adjust your registration form.

All the usual divisions:
Rec through Pro
the age protected ones too
* PLUS a mixed division (male & female). The mixed division can have players of any skill level.
ALL mixed division payout is in merchandise.

Reminder: For age-protected divisions and ratings protected divisions, BOTH players must qualify for that division.

General doubles etiquette: with two different skill levels, you play to the HIGHER division. Ex: a pro and an advanced player should play pro; a rec and an advanced player should play advanced (you do NOT split the difference and play intermediate  ).

The courses will NOT be open for practice before the tournament. We only have it leased for Friday through Sunday.

Results posted by Sunday morning at the latest (on Saturday if we can). Awards for doubles can be picked up any time after results posted.

But if anyone is eligible for MP70 and would like to switch to that division, please let me know. If we get 3 who want to switch I’ll make the division and move you over. I know of one person who is interested in moving (but only if we can get at least 3 to play it).

I know that Pool A filled up a lot faster this year, in about just a minute or two, while Pool B took awhile longer. I'm sure that was frustrating for players who found themselves already on the waitlist while other divisions were still open.

Sorry about that, but it is so hard to guess where the signups will come. Last year the Pool divisions were pretty similar but it was Pool B that filled up fast while Pool A took awhile longer.

Important Waitlist Info:

We will divide the divisions into 2 pools, each one holding 90 players max: Pool A and Pool B
The Waitlist will be "by Pool" (not by division) and will all be done on Disc Golf Scene. It is FREE to register for the waitlist.

You can register for the waitlist in both pools, IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE for divisions in both (and are willing to play either division).
Example... IF MA1 and MA2 are in different pools and you are willing and able to play both, you can register for the waitlist in each pool: once in MA1 and once in MA2.

Because both waitlists usually get long quickly, we suggest you register first in your preferred division and then pick another division in the other pool and register there second.

If you do clear the waitlist in one of your divisions your choices are:
1) Accept that spot by paying for it, and that is where you will play (we will delete your other waitlist entry)
or
2) Decline that spot (cancel that entry) and then hope that your other waitlist entry clears. This can mean taking a chance that you won’t play at all. But if your other waitlist entry is now first or second in line and there are still a few weeks before the event, maybe it is worth the gamble to you to hope to play in your preferred division.

Regular registration for Women Only is going on right now and continues until 7pm on Mon. Aug. 4th.

The ‘Everyone’ regular registration period starts Mon. Aug. 4th at 8pm.

For both the Women Only and the Everyone registration periods, you CAN STILL opt into the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge if you want to. It no longer has the benefit of saving your spot, but you will be helping out the charity plus you’ll get a cool McC-Note goodie in your player’s pack.

To be a “McC-Noter”, there is an option to select after the sponsorship questions. Choose the option that corresponds to your division and it will bring your entry fee up to $125. If you DON'T want to do it, just skip it or select the No Thanks choice.

If you choose to be a McC-Noter, then DON’T select the ace pot optional $5 and DON’T select the ring-of-fire optional $2 – both of these fees are INCLUDED in your McC-Note amount.
Also, If you choose the McC-Note AND you are not active with the PDGA, the system will automatically charge you the $15 non-active PDGA fee (sorry, there is no way to turn this off), but don’t worry… we will refund you that $15 through DG Scene within a few days, or we can refund you in cash when you check in at the tournament.
